Turkish Defense Minister: The acquisition of 151 unmanned aircraft Bayraktar TB2 is on its way

Turkish Defense Minister Noureddine Janicli announced that the Turkish army will receive 151 unmanned aerial vehicles of the Bayraktar TB2 produced by the Turkish company BAYKAR, 112 of which will be armed

Bayraktar TB2 entered the service in year 2015 and was used intensively in operations against terrorism and its performance was good and achieved great success, currently the Turkish army has 38 UAVs of this type and the number is increasing. Bayraktar TB2 can fly for 24 hours at a height of 22,000 feet armed with MAM-L and MAM-C laser guided bombs.

The defense minister also announced that the Turkish air force would receive 40 ANKA UAVs from the Turkish Air Industries Company (TAI), including 25 armed ones.

The ANKA is a MALE type, flying at altitudes of 30 thousand feet for 24 hours, equipped with an advanced electro-optical system and SAR radar, which gives it high reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities in addition to Satcom satellite communication system, which means command and control of the aircraft in an unlimited range (Related to the coverage provided by the satellites), ANKA is armed with laser guided missiles of the type UMTAS and CIRIT in addition to the MAM-L and MAM-C laser guided bombs.

Turkey is establishing a very strong unmanned aerial vehicle fleet for a certain humiliation against asymmetric threats inside/outside our borders. Actually, Turkey is bereaving all hostile instruments of West used against bright future of our Republic thanks to domestic war machines that equivalents was refused to be sold on previous years. The monkeys approaching to Turkish border will think twice before stepping inside because It will be almost certain that A guy with a rifle on his shoulder will sooner or later meet a bomb dropped by those drones or listen the rotor sound of Atak helicopters in their counted lifetime.
