Turkey ordered Ukrainian engine for its cruise missile.

We are talking about the AI-35 turbojet engine, a preliminary design of which was developed at the end of 2016.

The new engine for the Turkish cruise missile was presented during the visit of the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine Timofey Milovanov in Zaporozhye at the state-owned enterprise Ivchenko-Progress. It is reported by the Ukrainian military portal.

According to Director of the GP Ivchenko-Progress - General Designer Igor Kravchenko, a contract with Turkey has already been signed. The working design of the AI-35 began in January 2017 and a set of drawings of a full-size engine was released.

It was previously reported that Ukraine completed the development of the Neptune rocket. For the first time, a rocket flew over 250 km along a given route and altitude. As a result, the designers announced the completion of development.

Turkish likely have found big market in Asia region. Malaysia and Indonesia
Turkey's current defense industry relations beyond creating new markets, essentially about the aim of creating strategic relationships. Because each main system partnership creates a dimension of mutual strategic relationship based on long years. For these reasons, if you examine the tenders which are Turkey involved in, you will see that Turkey promise huge technical sharing and partnership to the extent that very few countries to offer.

Malaysia and especially Indonesia has a significant industrial capacity and trained manpower in the fields of defense, aviation and electronics. It is a factor that facilitate the transfer of the accumulation of Turkish defense projects to these countries as well as can support the future joint projects ideas. This concept will bring our countries' interests closer together in the long term and help us to reach more stable and indipendent political power to each of us.

Both Indonesia and Malaysia had huge talent pools backed by supportive universal education system mostly leftover of British or Japan/Dutch colonial system and both countries had divers economy backbones like heavy industry, petrochemical, steel, automotive, electronic and other sub components necessity for the advent of military industry.

Turkey defense industry is got knack to replace old supplier like western European supplier who sometimes sold overprice products but with stringent attachment with what to do or not to do. The only weakness of Turkish defense supplier is to find international financier willing to backed up such large deal in scale of billion US dollar per deal. South Korean beat Turkish in this field.

If not for such difficulties in financial scheme Indonesia had already put order for Turkish Submarine instead of South Korean ones or other order
