Turkish Defence Industry Exports & Updates

Aselsan employee Kerem Parıldar who worked under "domestic systems" lost his life by "jumping from the 14th floor" May ALLAH give them jannah. Why Aselsan employees have so much "bad luck"? Is it really so difficult to secure their security. If our country is not engaged with the security of the employees who are working over the most strategic systems of Turkey in one of the most strategic companies of Turkey then where we are going? I dont believe he made suicide somebody "suicided" him like many other "incidents"

He would have been executed for spionage by Turkish intelligence, if he had been killed.
There is no evidence to be suisced.Dont make up.

Hyundai selects Turkish 30 mm naval gun system for Philippine Navy frigates.
Ridzwan Rahmat - IHS Jane's Navy International
21 November 2017
Key Points
The Philippine Navy’s new frigates will each feature a 30 mm gun system from Aselsan
The Turkish company is gaining a foothold in the region, and is also in talks with the Philippine government regarding further orders
The Philippine Navy’s (PN’s) new frigates will be equipped with the SMASH 30 mm remote controlled stabilised naval gun system from Turkish defence systems provider, Aselsan, an official from the company confirmed with Jane’s on 20 November.

Each frigate will be equipped with one SMASH 30 mm system as a secondary weapon, and the system will be fully integrated with the platform’s combat management system (CMS), said the official. Jane’s understands that the weapon will be situated in the platform’s stern section, facing its flight deck.

South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) won a contract in 2016 to supply the PN with two 2,600-tonne frigates that derive its design from the Republic of Korea Navy’s (RoKN’s) Incheon (FFX-I) class. Besides the 30 mm gun system, the warship is also expected to be equipped with an eight-cell vertical launching system (VLS) installed at the forward section, and a 76 mm naval gun.

According to specifications provided by Aselsan, the SMASH system is fitted with a 30 mm Mk 44 Bushmaster-II cannon that can fire up to 200 rounds/minute, and can be operated either via an operator console or in automatic tracking mode.

The system can be equipped with an electro-optic sight package containing a thermal camera, a video camera, and laser range finder, and also operate in surveillance mode to improve the platform’s situational awareness. The turret can be fed via two separate ammunition stowage lines.

Things that have not been mentioned yet from the
Budget Talks For Defence Ministry

-Canikli says We are planing to sign certain agreement with Eurosam by the end of this year.
1-09x T70s will be 63% local
-PD170 UAV engine prototype acceptance has been planned to be in December 2018
-Construction of first submarine has been completed and system integration phase is underway.
-Omtas takes 30 sec to reach its target(100% local)
-Umtas takes 50 sec to reach its target(100% local)
-Tactical vehicles Ejder Kobra Amazon Vural more than 70% local
-Within 35mm air defence system modernization we managed to develop AHEAD-Munition (advanced hit efficiency and destruction) Now we integrate this munition to newly modernized tanks as active protection system.
-Also, we will have full control over the S-400s we have received it in this frame. In addition, the second phase involves developing the second stage together to include technology transfer.
-One representative ask You are talking with 3 companies If all goes well Are you going to cooperate with all. Canikli says this question was asked by Eurosam as well

Yes we will
the S-400 we are going to buy will not cover whole Turkey
S-400 will not be tried to be adapted to Nato systems. They are not compatible. A lot of country in Nato have their own system that is not compatible with nato standards. They are only connected their own systems.
We will not integrate it to Nato systems but even we did It would not cause danger because we are going to change its IFF system.
-There are very serious countries interested in our certain products ANKA armed, Kasirga, Firtina T155s Ahead munition Smart missiles are the first on top of my head, there are more. I assume that in near future we will reach serious figures.
-2 system S-400 does not meet our requirements May be we need 10 more to cover whole
-For example for this product the price before was very very different I dont want to utter now. There was no competition much.
-S-400 can meet ballistic missile from 360km away. This is the highest.

Hmm. That's a weird piece of information to mention as flight time depends on the range of the target and the flight profile chosen (e.g. direct attack, top attack, etc). It'll be unique for every situation.

Hımm, they are working on somehing like Trophy, i guess.

Andrew MacDonald - IHS Jane's Defence Weekly
24 November 2017

Hungary’s defence minister Simicskó István travelled to Turkey on 23 November to begin a four-day visit aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries, including through greater defence-industrial co-operation.

István met with his Turkish counterpart Nurettin Canikli in Ankara, where the two held a joint press conference following the signing of a memorandum of understanding which covers co-operation on defence industrial capabilities, military training, and logistics.

It takes 30 seconds to reach 4km.. which means it travels 133m for every second..
Mostly its calculated by direct hit..
