Well it's good to be a supplier why not? If there is money to be made, let's SELL parts to Russian manufacturers. Only expands our aerospace experience. US and EU suppliers supply more than half of Sukhoi Superjet.
Anyway, let's just say all 5th gens are experiencing big problems. F35 is a known problem maker, but so was the f22. Even in service problems. They are pushing the boundries of technology. There are bound to be problems. I hope the Russians can overcome theirs. There needs to be balance in the world. Not just an all consuming NATO.
With the news i read from indians about ther pakfa, ther are several big problems. And ther economical situation is a problem. The chinees fighter, ther is no information about and i think they will have ther problems too. So for now nobody will be able to achieve what the Americans achieved.
If you have a budget only for R&D 200 billions dollar then you can make flying cars. Every body have to admit, the whole world is 20 years behind Usa with stealth technology.

I think it'd probably be a regional airliner. This would be great news. Damn, Turkey is breaking 1st world great barriers quickly! Smart moves, hope it's financially viable. There are MANY competitors, and that's with India still asleep and China barely waking up. Hope it works! Just have no delusions about competing with Boeing and Airbus, that's impossible. But finding a nice niche and selling a couple dozen jets a year would be astonishing in and of itself. And who knows what the future holds!
This project has been initiated to answer Turkish Airliners' domestic flights. It's been some time since they said "we will build a regional airliner"
Oh good didn't know that. Well it's a very good step. Hope it's viable. Just selling a couple dozen copies to Turkish enterprises is insufficient. Maybe some to states with Turkish influence? Anyway, if it's a good, reliable and fuel efficient airplane, it should do very well regardless in the free market.
I dunno bro...
Turkish Airlines has 265 Aircraft and it estimated to be 421 aircraft by 2020.
Onur Air (domestic flight) has 22.
Pegasus Airlines has 58.
And there are AtlasGlobal, SunExpress, AnadoluJet... I think even the domestic consumption will be more then enough for the plane.

Sukhoi says that they will produce some parts in Turkey and will sell some aircraft. They don't mention about a big partnership and EU companies like Alenia already secured it. I think we shouldn't go with it.
