Turkish air chief arrives in Pakistan

Multilateral collaboration on gas turbines/engines, electronics, and munitions would be nice. Of the three, I'd say you couldn't come up with better alignment in needs, but the question of means is a problem.

Ironically, had Pak settled the gas turbine issue 3 decades ago (as you had said), its economic and fiscal woes might not be this bad (or I daresay, may have been good). Ditto can be said for semi-conductors, composites, forging various grades of steel, etc.

3 decades ago we were not that close with Turkey (diplomatically). Dynamics changed with arrival of Musharraf.
Even the education and engineering revolution is founded by him.
Shaukat Aziz and Dr. Ata were stimulating elements. They both believed in human development.

"Qatari personnel will be trained at Base Aérienne 118 Mont-de-Marsan in southwestern France, Rochefort, and the Joint Intelligence Training Institute in Strasbourg. The first batch of pilots trained for Qatar in November 2017 were Pakistani exchange officers. Escadron de Chasse 04.030 was established at Mont-de-Marsan as the Qatar Rafale Squadron on Oct. 1, 2017. The Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, visited the Qatari Rafale Squadron at Mont-de-Marsan on July 6, 2018, accompanied by French defense minister Florence Parly."

In light of this, it would be great if the efforts of that collaboration could be funded with some Qatari money.
Imagine the valuable experience Pakistani exchange pilots are getting while flying the Rafael even lot earlier than Indians. That feedback will go a long way in developing tactics against rafael for jf17. Infact I will be seeing lot of joint exercises between the two airforces and the fierce competition would be guaranteed as the Pakistanis would be on the both sides being trained by PAF. Man I am already loving it.

The vid is a bit old, because the wings are that of a narrow body airbus (a320 Family). The dude now flies in a BBJ version of the B747-8 gifted to him by the Amir of Qatar.
