It means a Sharia law, right? Which allow child marriage and protect the rapist from judgement. But, what has the victim from this law? Why should a child-victim marriage her rapist?

no actually Sharia law does not say anything about it so if they are both muslim they can get married after he gets its punishment but the punishment for rape in islam is death by execution, now states do not want to execute too much so they say if the girl marries the boy then he will not execute him in islam girls can get married in the age of 9 and boys in the age of 15 any thing blow that is considered a child and the offer is of the table but now stats like Iran say the age is at least 14 for girls and and 15 for boys but they are trying to get them both to at least 18 years old so the punishment is there for the offender but if the girl is above 14 she can marry him, she is not forced to do it that is the key note, but if she is under 14 then by state law she is considered a child ( in islam any girl above the age of 9 is not considered a child ) and the rapist gets executed usually when i see these cases the girl will put a heavy condition for the rapist like giving her a lot of money or to give her land among others and usually the boy will accept but there are other punishments that the boy have to pay before he gets free of execution.

some thing that you need to know is between Muslims if a girl is not a virgin and she dose not has reason for it like getting divorced then the chances of her getting marred to a virgin boy is very low as people will think she did a sin and lost her virginity.


so in Iran it's basically this, if she is above 14 she can marry the guy for a heavy condition like lots of money or land a house or gold among other things because he took the chance of her having a good future and the damages that he done to her mentally and physically in exchange he will not get executed and so he gets prison time and lashes, and if the girl doesn't want to marry him he will get executed.

A few clarifications though...

1. It is not a law that allows rapists to avoid punishment. Non consensual sex is still considered a crime.
2. The law is aimed at reducing the number of people in prison for statutory rape (ie having sexual relations with someone below the age of consent (18 in Turkey). This scenario could include teenagers who are prosecuted for having sex with thier girlfriends. It limits the age gap at 10 years.

It's still ridiculous and stupid. Why?

1. I don't know if there is a lower limit. What happens if a 19 year old wants to marry a 9 year old? That's sick and unacceptable.
2. It would be simpler to reduce the age of consent.

well first as you said in Turkey the age is at least 18 so a 9 year old can not get married even if islam allows it the states does not, secondly the rapist still gets punished it's just not extreme, thirdly it dose not matter what the boy wants its the girl that will offer the boy to get married not the other way around, the girl is free to chose usually for girl to decade that she will put heavy conditions on the marriage that the boy has to obey. i hope those will answer some of your questions.

actually neither Islam or Christianity or Judaism does forbid those two from getting married thats why its open for debate.

No one is preventing them from willful marriage - but forcing/compelling any of the two to marry the other is terrible. Rape is a crime. Imagine something less than a crime, like an accident. When two vehicles hit each-other; a street accident - the law doesn't bind them together for the rest of their lives. Why do we think people should be forced to stay with each other after one doing a crime against the other?

I have different theory as you all know parliament voted for extension of permits for coal plants who have older equipment turkish people heavily protested about air pollution and what happens erdogan vetoes parliament by doing this he hopes to “convince” that he will go even against his party for the sake of the people
With this being said don’t be surprised if this bill is passed by turkish parliament(AKP&MHP) but erdogan vetoes again i think exactly this is going to happen

I also doubt the veracity of this article.

It is however important to note that in Islam there is absolutely no leniency for rape. It is similar to how the punishment from fornication and adultery must be enforced if it is proven.

Prophet Muhammad saws once had a woman come to him to admit that she did adultery, but he turned away and pretended not to listen. This kept happening until she was adamant that she committed the crime. He delayed the punishment until the child was fully grown.

Once this crime has been proven (it is easy now due to DNA test and examination, but even evidence of kidnapping is enough,) the punishment must be carried out on the perpetrator.

they talking about hormone therapy 50 years of jail, forbidding him to work at special places ppl are discussing this because it may affect just kids under 12 other have lesser punishment and that is not touched by this law..

also I read in another article that this laws are some kind of idiotic:

two 15 years old having sex the punishment would be 16-40 years of jail
rapist father raping 16 years old 10-15 years of jail
teacher kissing 11years old lifetime sentece
but teacher raping 16 years old gets 2-5 years..

idiotic things but its same as in other places in the world ppl who raped 20 children get only up to 5 years or less


this man made laws suck.. just give what is justice.. death punishment

We cant because rapists have human rights. Im so sick of this. Rapists deserve no human rights!!!

I will never forget a boy got molested by a man and the dad took the law into his own hands and shot the molestor in the head. I think this happened in the USA.


I dont justify vigilantism but man I feel for the father. Imagine your daughter or even son getting raped or molested and the law failed so what do you do just sit there and take it?
