Turkey to develop new medium combat aircraft

Hakan Kilic claims there are "gossips" about Turkey talking to the UK about Eurofighter procurement. What do you guys think?
Eurofighter is very good plane but do we need it actually? We have enough F4 and F16s but I see another logic in it. The logic is related to the F35s. If Harriers are going to replace F35B then Eurofighter can replace F35A as Eurofighter is 4.5 generation. I personally dont think that we will procure any Eurofighters. For the Harriers I see more logic as we will get TCG Anadolu and I am not sure if we will have enough F35s by then.

Agreed. I also don't think they're necessary unless there's an extremely urgent need for A2A interceptors, which there's none. Procuring the expensive Typhoon means saying 'good bye' to the TFX.

That said, I'm in favor of acquiring and/or partnering with non-US aircraft and nations as currently our Air Force relies way too heavily on US-made platforms, which is a security risk given how the US is supporting FETO/PKK-YPD, etc.

Our works over F16 can be good alternative for the air superiority fighters. F16 with domestic AESA and also @Combat-Master informed us about this not so long ago and I copy his post:
"Aselsan has developed instrumentation that is only found on Block 70 variants of F-16.

This is the image is from cockpit of latest F-16 Block 50+ in service with Turkish Air Force, fresh out of TAI facilities. So we can safely say, Aselsan does not have access to Block 70 instrumentation.

This is F-16 block 70 proposed for India, latest generation of F-16 cockpit.

Aselsan has developed several instrumentation found only on Block 70 F-16. Here are some of them, you can match up with the Block 70 cockpit above.

So what do you guys think, is Aselsan positioning itself to offer modernization packages up to Block 70 standards extending F-16 useful life beyond 2030 ?"

I personally think that if we modernize some of our F16s to that standart it could be a game changer.
