In past, indeed thousands of Kemalist judges, teachers, lawyers, soldiers, journalists have been arrested by Fethollah terrorists, during Ergenekon and Balyoz fake "lawsuits" to empty Turkish institutions, then occupy them with Fethollah's men.

Currently there is no Kemalist judges, teachers, lawyers, soldiers, journalists in prison. We are putting old criminal Fethollah's men into prison where they put us in prison before, that is our revengeful and justified justice.

Coup was against Turkish Republic, not Erdogan. If there were Atatürk's himself in the presidency instead of Erdoğan, Fethollah would still try that coup in order to capture the State, once and for all.

Eventually Erdogan founded a new party together with other young politicians from Erbakans Party, the AKP, and allied with Gülen since they had already quite a power within the state, they together fought Kemalists and lived in symbiosis doing eachother favors.
This was when Erbakan was speaking critical of Erdogan and some things he predicted became true eventually.
Now Erdogan and Gülenists are at odd since 2013 or something, nobody really knows why but in this war i side with Erdogan, Gülenists are far more dangerous.

Gülen is favoured because he had a very significant influence inside the state, for exsample when AKP got elected Iraq war started one year later, AKP voted in favor of letting US to use Turkish soil for invasion but the Kemalists voted against it in the parliament, at that time they didnt have enough power yet so US wasnt allowed to use Turkish soil.
For the US Gülens network was a useful tool to shape Turkish politics, but novadays they probably would like nothing more than getting rid of him but they cant since Gülen would have a lot to tell about his time in the US i guess.
