Turkey asks for Pakistan's help in development of next Generation Fighter

seems like the Turks are indifferent to what the Indian posters think of our JF-17 and Drone program. anyway its a welcome news and some formal partnership should be signed which is long term with exchange of excerpts and technicians and sharing resources and R&D outcomes
There is no indifference from the Indian side. We have always been appreciative/admired of what you guys have achieved with the budget constraints. Your PAF engineering corp is an highly efficient, disciplined and effective contingent. JF17 re-engineering for DSI, munitions package, LERX profile, life extension of Mirage3/5 in the rebuild factory and serviceability of F16's are testament to their ingenuity.

No, and countries like China and Russia won't allow Pakistan to share it with Turkey. So this is a fake news because of that. If they want a cooperation that is possible, Pakistan wil help Turkey develop with TFX? Come on, Jf 17 is licence product like our F16. Believe me we are 10 steps ahead.
Yara Oublious u r not understanding the Pakistani way of developing things.

Our first experience in developing an aircraft was Mushak aircraft. We brought a Swedish company and got its licence to build its aircraft as Mushak in early 80s. Late on as the technology was fully transferred and we started making the a/c 100% at home and we even started selling them on our own. Then later we ourselves developed and updated that a/c to super mushak. Now we sell them too latest was of 20 a/c to iraq an year ago. Sweden is now out of picture.

Later we did the same with Karakoram 8 (K-8) trainer with China. Now we have even export that to Egypt, Zimbabwe etc.....
Then we develop JF-17 with China. Our original project was Saber II which we were developing with boeing........But after 1990's sanctions they backed out. In the mean time China was developing its project as Super 7. What we did was that we merged both projects with each other, and late developed JFT. (Joint Fighter-17 Thunder), the JF 17.

Same thing we did in tanks, missiles and even nukes as well. That pattern helps us to adapt a technology, develop it further, and master it, then develop our own product based on that system So much so that we can export them on our own.

A few years ago, we made 58% of JFT at home, and slowly we r absorbing further technology. Rumors has it now we make 75% at home in latest models. We r looking at making 100% a/c at home in coming future.

This a/c isnt a licence production, thats why even when we r not at 100% in manufacturing this aircraft WE have signed a deal for its export NOT china.

Thats how we have got the experience and owner ship in projects we make. Even in reality project wise Pakistan owns 58% of JFT project and China 42%. Since after all this aircraft was developed for the requirements of PAF not PLAAF. And if u look into project its basically a JV of PAF, PAC(both of Pakistan) and CATIC of china.

Yes thats true whats written in the OP of this thread seem exaggeration, since that is true that Turkey is miles away from Pakistan industrial wise. but when it comes to developing yr own, designing yr own, experience of manufacturing etc etc like Xenon hinted in previous pages, Pakistan is ahead.

Besides, Main cruise missile to be carried inner paylons of TF-X is under development phase. It is called as SOM-J which is based on bigger brother SOM cruise missile. SOM-J will be the main cruise missile of F-35 fighters along with Kongberg JSM which will fit the inside of F-35. No other cruise missiles are convenient to inner stores of F-35.

A deal signed with LockhedMartin to integrate SOM-J to F-35 as well.

There are many things going on behind closed doors, some sources believe that Pakistan had a important role when Turkey got ballistic missile ToT from China in 90s.
Who knows whats being cooked at the very moment we are talking here.
Yes i know that Pakistan works as a bridge b/w many countries and Turkey and China. But that felt through since that HQ Air defence missile debacle. Chinese r angry.

But then again a JV is of different league and that claim is huge that is written in the OP of this thread. Thats why its conformation is needed from Turkish side!.

I think The real subject is not about asking help for TF-X but offering JV to Pakistan in order to invest R&D together with seperating productions in accordance with work shares/promises to bring World's one of the serious stealth fighter jet to be revealed into market under the name of Muslim majority countries' Turkey/Pakistan fighter.
If Pakistan joins this project, legendary warriors? How abt Sultan Mehmood/Mehmet?

Not sure why RAAD ALCM can't be used on your jets .. (Apart from maybe MTCR regulations)

JF was our first fighter jet project .. A joint venture ... We learnt Alot from it... Yes on our own it would be difficult for us to produce a 5th gen fighter but not impossible .. Cibsidering we have both the manufacturing base aswell as a nice aviation industry .. Turkey also has experience (producing F-16s under licsense)... If both countries join ... They can help eachother produce one helluva jet...

Inner stores need some special designs. Som-B cruise missile doesn't even suit for F-35.

Venezuela too, several other orders are pending. I agree with Air Commodore (retd.) Sir Kaiser Tufail sahib that we need to go on an aggressive marketing blitzkrieg in the Latin American countries - including Argentina, Venezuela etc. with regard to JF-Thunder.

Affordable platforms, capable, highly adaptable, highly configurable, few political strings attached. It's a win win for all

Also costs are shared out. In addition greater numbers procured by both airforces reduce per unit price. Win win for all.

TF-X is the main big scale project that Turkish officials want to do JV with ally countries because The total budget to be paid for TF-X is too much for one country. Seperation of difficulties will also accelerate schedules. We should follow similar paths with USA and Korea for development of TF-X so A few nation will be allowed to have some shares over TF-X. I think Pakistan will be the first one If It is agreed on details !
