set free on bail? Why they didn't shot him if they knew that he will be set free? May be because of Negotiations.

Set the snake free for another day to bite.

Or maybe he was set free to avoid complications in negotiations with the bastards.

Chances are they had no idea. But that is simply a slap on the face of law enforcement agencies that they have no coordination nor the imagination of coordination to see who they've got. The Police were given this guy to arrest by the Rangers(they cannot detain as such) .. and the police took him for a common criminal and let him loose.

**** judicial system of pakistan
Should the same not be done to your pathetic understanding of the judicial system and its working? What judicial system has to do with this bail? The judicial magistrate (or a session judge) has to grant or reject a bail based on the section (of the penal code) applied on a criminal act in the FIR. It is not the judicial magistrate (or a session judge) who does this, but the police officer. One can hold the police responsible for this but not the judicial system. Police is the part of law-enforcement system, she assists the judicial system, but does not fall under it.

This is so comical...

That is why, we need new stringent laws and ordnances to deal with terrorism.

Perhaps we need to effectively implement the existing laws first, while introducing the enhanced ones in parallel. It is more about better training, and modernizing our rotting police infrastructure, which we inherited from the Brits more than 65 years ago. Instead of having access to bio-matric data of criminals/terrorists, our police is still relying on the black boards giving vague descriptions of 'basta alif, basta bay' badmash. It would be foolish to expect anything better from the police with this kind of system in place.

Maybe they will shoot him later in a fake encounter??

My comments were in a broad sense.

The police gets it fair share of blame for this mess, but the judiciary is usually let go scotch free.

It's a joint effort, and everyone has to share the blame.
