Dear it was Pakistan that provided arms to these people with US funding to fight Soviet at the first place. Pakistan always considered AF as its own backyard and supported Taliban. So the weapons TTP acquires can come from AF itself. At the same time possibility of foreign hand can't be ignored as such terrorist groups which attack at this scale can't execute without any any aid/help.

The accusation that the CIA is helping the TTP in cross border raids into Pakistan now gains credence. With these TTP yahoos operating from Afghanistan can the CIA be far behind? Would they turn down this golden opportunity of using the TTP for their own nefarious ends?

As we all know, the ultimate objective of the Yanks is an independent Balochistan (according to Rohrabacher’s motion) for unhindered access to not only its mineral wealth but also complete control of the port of Gwadar for a US controlled Afghanistan-Baluchistan link-up with the Central Asian energy oil and gas pipelines with Gwadar.

Also US military presence in Gwadar would be used to control the Gulf and use the port as an alternative for USA’s 5th fleet based in Bahrain or an additional Carrier Strike Group for control of the Gulf. The US would also use Gwadar as a military base for intervention in the Saudi Peninsula.

This plan sucks and Pakistan should not be allowed to fragment which will result in instability in the whole of South Asia.

Thanks for the supporting words. Rest assured there are odds against the US that no super power can overcome in the long run. Baluchistan will never break away , unless the rest of the 169 tribes also start opposing the Government instead of supporting it. Allow me to pose a question, many a times, wedding parties in Afghan have been obliterated by Allied aircraft just because a member from the wedding party fired a gun in celebration, now how is it possible that a force of hundreds can mount an attack with all guns blazing and then just dispear into thin air. Yet when just half dozen Taliban attack some targets inside Afghan, all fingers start pointing towards Pakistan. It's high time the Afghan government extends it's authority beyond Kabul. !!

Real Soviet defeat began with the acquisition and use of Stinger MANPADS that were 100% made in USA mate. Most of the arms and ammunition were imported from the US & Israel while funding was from USA, Saudi Arabia & UAE.

TTP fighters have left behind sophisticated Communications & Jamming equipment that is state of the art along with ammunition that is not made in the locality. These TTP terrorists very often use AP bullets that one cannot buy in the market.

No sane person can deny that TTP gets support from anti Pakistan forces such as RAW & CIA.

You are not making much sense. TTP was wiped out from swat and south Wazirstaan and it's leader fled and took refuge in Afghanistan. Now he has built bases and training camps there which ttp uses to launch attack in Pakistan and possibly even afghanistaan. That's what they mean by moving around.

Now I agree that whatever sanctuaries Taliban have in Pakistan must be cleared by PA and taken control of those lands. But problem is every time PA launches an op to fight Taliban, US/NATO pick up their bases and allow an open door for them to come through, what gives?

That's why in an another thread I said there should be a proper diplomatic channel where all sides can sit and without any hidden agenda discuss and find solution to this problem. This cheap point scoring and stubborn attitude of pointing fingers will never help. Both in this forum and out in the real world. Only Taliban are benefiting while we fight and accuse each other.

US Support ended after 1989 when the last soviet tank left afghan soil, who aided taliban to capture power in 1996? Pakistan had equal role in supporting mujahidden during soviet afghan war.

US is conducting drone strikes on safe heavens of taliban in North Waziristan. Similarly Pakistan can conduct Airstrikes on TTP militants holed up in Kunar Province of afghanistan. They can use JF-17 Thunder and F-16 Fighting Falcons.
