Japan/Korea are more powerful than global Islamic World?
Japan and Korea (and Russia too) are dying countries with decreasing population and absolute increasing irrelevance to the global stage (not Russia though). Saudi Arabia alone is a bigger/more consequential global power than Japan+Korea combined. Yes, Japanese/Koreans are admirable and technologically advance societies--but by now you should know what really matters in International system. Influence and power. Korea and Japan can't compare to Saudi Arabia's preeminent role in the global energy markets (THE most important commodity in international geopolitics: Energy, not Samsung smart phones and no Toyota cars--but global energy supply and control flow).
Lets not even compare to global Islamic world, which is a
global civilization unlike Koreans or Japanese etc.

Forbes 2000 2015 list. To put it in perspective, that's more than all the companies of Latin America and Oceana combined.
DOUBLE the number of companies listed from India and
FOUR TIMES the number of companies from your "Russia". And that's when MOST powerful companies from Muslim World aren't even publically listed (Eg Saudi Aramco alone has an estimated market capitalization of $10 to $20 trillion+ !!! That's more than top five largest American companies...combined!).

Yes, it wouldn't be the most "powerful" at that time (by 2100s) as it previously had been for over a thousand years for the most part (between 7th to 17th century)...but even then, it would be one of the most powerful civilization in 2050-2100 time. 25 largest global economies will account for 80% of the total world's GDP by 2050---9 out those 25 will be from Islamic world--with Indonesia being the fourth largest global economy behind China, India, and U.S. And some of the most powerful militaries on the planet also exist in Muslim world (from nuclear-capable Pakistan to the largest military machine of Europe--Turkey. Missile powers such as Iran are militarily more powerful/consequential than majority of European countries too)...
But offcourse, you can continue to hide under your blanket imagining "Islamic world is just subsaharan Africa producing lots of babies and nothing else" whereas global civilization of Islam continues to soar and expand from Morocco to Indonesia while maintaining its identity, culture, indigenous outlook, and traditional values. Whereas you can not do anything but to see Western culture being humiliated by globalization and hedonism---resulting in Western culture becoming a MULTI-culture and decreasing populations across the board.

As you can see, Islamic Civilization/Culture holds the best evolutionary traits--and is traditional and holds survival values more than others. In other words, such a culture is more likely to survive and thrive in the long term..and unfit cultures will die out (Ehm, already dying West comes to mind). Generally, newer cultures/civilizations tend to be fitter (Traditional, Survivalist) because they are small, insecure, and need to be survivalist if they want to establish themselves on history's map. Successful/large civilizations become "lax" with time (spanning upon centuries) and end up becoming diluted and losing their traditional traits. It is absolutely remarkable to see that Islamic Civilization is
STILL so fit and powerful in itself---even after it has already seen absolute zenith by remaining global dominant civilization for almost a 1000 years--producing various superpowers--and has been the
global civilization for centuries and is
MASSIVE in size (reaching towards 1/3 of entire human civilization) at homo sapiens absolute peak.
NO civilization in entire human history has been able to achieve such size AND "evolutionary civilizational fitness" at the same time. (Only Christiandom can be compared in terms of size/breath but it falls short on the comparison of long term survival traits).

China will be most powerful economically but it is not a global civilization and never has been.
THE ONLY rival to Islam was Christian-West...since there have been only two civilizations in human history which can be categorized as
global civilizations--Islam and Christian-West--while all other civilizations (no matter how brilliant ranging from Egypt to Persia to China to India to Japan etc) have been local civilizations, hence not as influential on global humanity. And now the Christian-West is pretty much washed away in the waves of globalization, secularization, and liberalism, and Islam stands alone on
global level. Christianity barely holds any influence in public life and on culture anywhere in the world and you know that too.
I am not saying Islam will dominate the world and will be most powerful and that its end of history blah blah blah...so I don't know why you get so defensive.
