Trump ended tradition of celebrating Ramadan at the White House

Best policy will be to keep religion out of WH because there are too many of them.

You just treat them like garbage.

As for the news, just a another great day in Trumpland.
I appreciate this act of trump..muslims or muslim countries are known for their violations of human rights..they have least tolerance or respect for other religions....you cant expect your religion to be treated with respect while ypu spew venom against others.

.
How come you know that he is happy, or just your prejudice speaking?
I am not the prejudice one here, Trump and his supporters "mostly indians" are.
Why don't you ask him and the rest of your fellow countrymen here how happy they are,Post#49 proves I am right.

Good move lets see what the Saudis and the gulfies are going to say

When their fat prince visited trump they said he is not against Islam only against the radical Muslims but they forgot how their media attacked him and now what are they going to say??

What's the term "Trumpland" exactly? Do you think America was one way, then Trump got elected on November 8, then it was another?

I see nothing wrong with it. They should similarly stop celebrating Christmas as well. Religion is a private affairs. White House is not his private residence. State should not meddle in these things.

They are more like cultural festivals. It's not like non-Muslims and non-Christians have to pray during Ramadan or Christmas. I do not see any wrong in it as long as people don't force their beliefs onto others.

But hey, their country, their rules.

not coz that I support this, rather I like to celebrate all kind festival specially when they fall under long weekend, but as people themselves are speaking so introspection might be needed here.

Imam Tawhidi rocks. I am going to Adelaide next month and have requested a meeting with him.

Look, I don't mind the cultural aspect of religious festivals. I love my Eid food and Christmas holidays. But the official residence of the President has a significance beyond just being a living place. If you start celebrating festivals then it begets the question why not celebrate obscure ones of smaller religions as well?

As for their country their rules, well, celebrating it or not doing so isn't not a big issue. However, if he later chooses to celebrate Diwali and Christmas, that is a clear message - and a wrong one. There is no law preventing him from doing so but it does not fit with the ethos of a secular state.

.
Are there official christms or eastern celebrations in any muslim countries government?
Yep in Bangladesh Christmas is a public holiday and the PM meets and greets Christians(or anybody who wants to go)..pretty much the same way eid is officially celebrated.
