its sad to see people with no knowledge of fighters commenting on combat capability of a fighter which is yet to be tested in battle conditions/exercises.

guys pls hold u r expert comments till tejas gets inducted in airforce and participates in war games/exercises.

The whole article smacks of deliberate attempt to downplay Tejas' development and real capabilities.

The author seems to have lost sight of the view that Tejas is designed to be a point interceptor, a replace for another aircraft doing the same job - the MiG-21.

Secondly Su-30MKI, PAK-FA are air-superiority fighters. Dont know exactly what role FGFA would play.

Thirdly, MMRCA aircraft are primarily going to be used as deep penetration strike aircraft, contrary to popular belief! They are going to replace the aging MiG-27s and Jaguars!!

Why would Tejas be used in any of these roles when IAF has already designated particular aircraft to fulfill these roles, and Tejas was particularly designed to be a point interceptor?
