What is the big deal about being born in Pakistan? Or for that matter, in India or the US? One's birth is not in his/her control. Yet the person goes on to show the immense pride and respect for his parents/nationality/color and many various things that have always been out of his/her control.

It is all bestowed by God. So is one's being homosexual.

Homosexuals desperately need to show their pride because they have always been looked down upon in almost every society. That looking down on someone is in itself a syndrome. And in here I can see there are many suffering from that syndrome.

I cant understand why we are discussing this. Even if it was a sin which I am not saying it is. What american soldiers do in their barracks is a matter for them. American soldiers are guilty of far worse ie war crimes etc.

Lol, you read wrong. In the Army for years, not one incident. My father was in 20 years, once had to kick out two soldiers he found in bed in that time.

We in the west (the army in particular) have heard that because muslims aren't aloud to talk to girls, that they prefer boys. (or goats and donkeys in talib case). Rumors are wierd, huh?

I have been reading the posts and I still have not made out what is the aim of this thread.

If one Googles, one would realise that this is an universal phenomenon.

Historically, there has been a "don't ask don't tell" policy with regard to homosexuality among the US troops. The aim of this thread is to display the news with regard to the shift in that policy and to show how troops are no more afraid of being persecuted or discrimnated simply because of their sexual orientation.

Makes me wonder why would you ask that when this thread has been posted in the member's section.

Because what is the guarantee that it does not happen elsewhere, notwithstanding all the moral high standing that I observe here.

I did not post the news to show that there are homosexuals in the US Army. Rather, I am 100% sure there are homosexuals in every army in the world.

I posted this news to showcase the shift in the attitude of the people with regard to homosexuals serving in the US Army. If there is any gay pride parade elsewhere in the world, with participating Army members displaying their sexual orientation, I will post that as well.

I do not understand that Drone photograph statement of yours.
