Salaam Everyone,

Its been a long time since I've visited this site. I was thinking about the idea of having some laws in place that would make it illegal to work against the nuclear program of the country. Since I dont know much about the subject, I thought the most appropriate forum would be this one. Lets hope someone can shed light on this and possibly give examples of other countries where this is the case. I personally would love to see such laws enacted and enforced so that we can prevent foreign implants from gaining acceptability in our society to promote an agenda that is counter to the interests of these 170 million people. Think Vanunu and what Israel does to defend its national interests and then think about our country where have plenty of people who loudly speak against such a critical national interest and how we deal with them. Some feedback on this would be appreciated.

Actually i think by letting the forighn implecants promoting their agendas we will get to know how they think regading our nukes and its actually their frustration which they post. They donot want to see a Muslim country Armed with Nukes. They get agitated from this fact and they express it everywhere not just in this forum.
We know how secure our nukes are and most interestingly these people also know how secure our Nukes are. No body can touch them even in their wildest dreams.
So i recomend instead of enforcing laws treat their agenda(frustration) in your own Pakistani style.

Dont you think that the approach you outlined assumes that everyone will be clearly aware of who the implant is and who isn't? let's suppose that we're talking about an eminent professor who regularly writes in major newspapers and has a certain level of acceptability among some people. Let us further suppose that the issue of his being a foreign implant is not directly addressed by any official government agency for whatever reason...don't you think that such an individual working against our nuclear program should be dealt with accordingly? I personally would like to see that individual taken to the gallows for treason.

Let us look back to the day that India conducted its nuclear test in 1998...suppose we couldn't respond at all, let alone the following day.....would it not have put Pakistan in a terrible position? Isn't our nuclear program one of our country's most important national security assets? And to work against it should be considered treason...no? Tolerance for treason doesn't make sense...it puts lives at risk and sets a terrible precedent whereby the enemies of Pakistan are emboldened to act even more brazenly.

I would like to know if we do already have such laws in place....I'm pretty sure we must....or it must be implied in some part of the law rather than directly stated in this way. Any ideas anyone?

Not sure i understand what laws you are trying to invoke. Also dont understand the Jonathan Pollard reference, he got busted spying for Israel and now hes in a US jail.

Apologies, I meant Vanunu rather than Pollard. Regarding the laws...I'm inquiring as to whether anyone here knows of any such laws that would apply to the situation in Pakistan. For example, if some academic was broadcasting to the world the location of our nukes and the details of our facilities....they'd get locked up. However, for merely working against these same national security interests in a more subtle manner there doesn't seem to result in the same sort of action. I'm trying to figure out where that fine line in the law is and what it actually says...and if the same would apply to the sort of characters I previously referred to.
