Btw, this is not a training aircraft, it can accommodate only 1 pilot in its cockpit.

the landing gear problem maybe?? or simply, a hard landing?

the canopy looks like it has been jettisoned, can't see it in the pics. Must have ejected. Zero-Zero ejection seats serve a purpose.
 
Those A-5s are getting old....

Thank God the pilot is safe.

Intial reoprts claimed that it was a training aircraft. Sorry
 
A training aircraft must be able to accommodate an instructor and a trainee inside its cockpit imo.
 
From the picture it seems fortunately the plane is reparable . we save from losing million dollar plane :yahoo:

must be a PT6. Why on earth our air force use these world war 1 vintage plane for training??

BT-6 is one of the most successful training aircraft in BAF services. It did fulfill all the requirements to train pilots. Back then when this was bought, there we no or very few simulators were available. Then this was bought and is still serving very well. You can also conduct the manual G-test of pilots in this plane...
