Tractor boom in India?

.
These tractors are good indeed..but not upto world class per se but are enough for indian n african n latin american countries.
As the level of mechanization and sophistication of farming improves these companies will have to come up with better products.
For now they are serving well n getting good foreign exchange for us.

Mahindra tractors are doing well in North America for being a relatively new entrant (can check youtube videos of US and Canadian customers review etc).

Where they need to improve is the after sales support....because in NA this is both done in a bit of franchise format and is very very key and important....Mahindra has delegated too much to the local dealerships, it should create much better involvement in this network....and take ownership/responsibility in good stocking of the issues feedback comes on (which dynamically changes from year to year depending on various factors).

Huge amount of US companies also produce inside India and export to NA....like John Deere for example. In fact when people in the US Mahindra youtube videos complain about "made in India" etc....many of their fellow commenters ask do they know where the John Deere model they are suggesting is also made (or imported in SKU/CKU/components)....hah.

India is developing, but it still remains poor. A day will certainly come when it will still be developing, but its economic conditions will improve. All the developed countries of today had to go through this painful long process of step by step progress. Rome was not built in a day and the modern economy of a country is not developed in a short span of time. However, some BD posters in the PDF believe that there is almost no necessity to produce, build and manufacture many things inside the country. Sell Chaddi and buy everything from the foreign countries. Is it called development or underdevelopment?

BD needs much better bureaucracy. Hope you read my post on it in BD subforum. Bigmouths are there from all sides, but regular non elite folks need to get politicians to truly compete against each other to get results.
