Tourism park planned on island in Naf River

.
i don't know how safe it will be as squeezed between burma and bd
2.8 million tourist means that local tourist only few alien will go there

.
nope. we can go Bangkok with US$ 100 including return ticket. it can be possible when total expense to go to that island is less than US$75.. :D
it's right outside your door... i would be surprised if the entry ticket for a 4 person family is more than 50$... more like 20$

It wont be cheap. I dont think most MM tourist can actually afford. But they can always work there (direct or indirect) specially the Rakhine residents. There will be a lot of demand for beefs, fish and vegetables. They can grow in Rakhine and supply across the border.

well its a eonomic oppurtunity for people of both country... myanmar's people can open up restaurants in surrounding areas featuring their countries food...

i am happy, that for once this group is seeing some constructive discussion relating bd and burma!

actually BD need to carry out comfortable environment and price. it would be better it can arrange another easy routes to surrounding places for sight-seeing or other activities. dont worry about the size of pocket of Myanmar people. nearly 1 million Myanmar tourists are going to Thailand , Vietnam , Singapore and India and spending million dollar. if u guys want to compete them , cheaper price and better service are surely needed. if not , why we are wasting our time and money in that place.. just take soonest flight and fly to BKK or HCMC.. there are 30 flights/day to BKK and 25 flights/day to HCMC.
i agreed for 2nd one.. we can create a supply chain of agri product , sea food and timber products. after our Kyouk Phyu and Sitt Twe SEZ is completed , we can supply a wide range of products which can be needed in that construction...

But I have to transit through Dhaka first? That place "infested" with people like.....:pleasantry:
:p::p::p:

but the whole population of Rakhine state is just 2 million and most of tourists come from east and central region. plus rakhine state is full of high hills.. so taking flight would save in time and money.

I wonder, how many thousands of Rohingya people our PDF members want to employ in the tiny tourist island. Rohingya issue should be made separate from the tourism issue. Whoever works there will certainly be our own people near Teknaf/Cox's Bazaar/Ramu.

I did not say Rohingya from MM will be employed. I said the project itself will have a tickle down economic affect in Rakhine.

That was my point. It wont be cheaper as the segment of tourist they are targeting will be high spender and mostly domestic. Our airport tax itself cost a passenger 200 dollar. The investors who shown interest in that are international 5 start hotel chains who will charge you minimum 500 dollar for a night. I am sure there will be some low end hotels but will not be cheaper than 100 dollar a night.

This project will get completed before your uncertain Kyouk Phyu SEZ let alone building factory in the SEZ. So there will not be wide range of products but certainly stone chips and sand can be brought in for construction work which we are already doing for other projects like Padma Bridge.

Sorry, I fully understand your point. Actually, so many positive things can be done if only peace is ensured in the BD-MM border. I know of sea islands under south Korean sovereignty. Foreigners from other countries can visit there without a visa. But, they have to fly back to their departure points. A similar thing can be done to this Pearl Island of ours. Tourists of any nationalities may visit this island from both BB and MM, but they have to go back to their points of departure. This is how both the countries can benefit.

. . . .
Cause you can't go on the better parts, only the rich can.:)
Try taking a stroll through gulshan at night.;)
Gulshan is the worst piece of shit I am have seen. No offense.

It's not about the place... it's about the crowd... I hate crowded places.
In Kuwait there is a supermarket called lulu hyper market... its full of Indians and areas and others... so much that you can keep your foot on the ground. I feel suffocated by crowd. For me if I ever live in bd it will be my village because of how less people... more like how much less crowded it is....

And yeah again.... gulshan got no shit on me :P

Don't tell me hatirzheel either because although very nice... it's madness to go in the weekends... feels like the whole of bd has gone there to hang out.

I will get a pleasure yacht and drop by that way hehe. You can bring the ukrainian chicks to do your bit and lets partay :D
These hoes ain't loyal... I am just too scared to get involved with Ukrainian girls... but hey sure are beautiful!!! :D

Not all are like that though (unfaithful)
But I don't see myself with a Ukrainian or Bengali girl for that matter... I speak English more fluently than my mother tongue so an English speaking woman is the way to go
