Top US general says Taliban 'living in comfort' in Pakistan

Pakistan/ISI involved itself heavily in the creation of the Afghan Taliban according to Benazir Bhutto, and she approved the funding neccessary for this.
That makes it Pakistan’s problem.

That does not mean that Pakistan fully control the Afghan Taliban, but it certainly means
lots for how people worldwide view Pakistan.
The trust in Pakistan’s willingness to do something about it, is limited at best.
before they accuse us of giving shelter wouldnt it be better if half of Afghanistan from their rule?

The Taliban has showed how Afghanistan will look like under their rule,
so that question can be answered with a firm NO.

What would be better is that the Afghans would free themselves from the pasts,
and respect the opinion of each and every Afghan citizen, not just the ones
wielding Kalashnikovs.

. .
Please Americans clean the garbage in Afghanistan first, help the Afghans to secure the border with Pakistan and neighboring countries and then talk, see where we can go from there.

Talibs don't need Pakistan or such sanctuary here to live when they have almost Afghanistan under control and roam freely even sometimes inside Kabul. Rather than using the blame game tactics and as usual, putting your burden of loss upon others, kindly deal inside Afghanistan and try to cover the area as much as you can, outside Kabul Limited Regime. No one is angel here or saint hence, introspection is needed or it is just because you are US so you can utter whatever you want to. Before accusing others as such, compare your budget/expenses and whole some support in Afghanistan against Talibs and then calculate how Pakistan dealt with them whereby Pakistan's average w.r.t. participation in this war will be higher than whole NATO numbers inside Afghanistan. This average be calculated based upon available resources, money, support and all.

US want solution in Afghanistan then needs to bring stake holders to the table and stop giving room to India in Afghanistan only on the basis that may help US to contain China and Pakistan for itself. You want solution of situation then you need to be fair with the party but as said, it is always about national interest and own benefits then, the one can carry on the way it is and Afghans are only party at receiving end that despite seeing all, still tolerate Kabul Imported Government.

The Taliban has showed how Afghanistan will look like under their rule,
Yes they are bad and all but they control half of Afghanistan before accusing Pakistan of given them shelter first US and NATO should perhaps first think about removing their hold from large portion of Afghanistan
Just few days ago i read something about Taliban running irrigation projects
What would be better is that the Afghans would free themselves from the pasts,
They dont want to and its not a problem of Pakistan
respect the opinion of each and every Afghan citizen, not just the ones
wielding Kalashnikovs.
I dont see that happening in my lifetime because for it to happen you need a strong govt right now its run by a govt where it accuses its own ministers of carrying out terror attacks

I have a question for the US general - how does it feel like knowing you've failed in conquering a country after 16 years of warfare? Must be pretty shit. Your name will go down as one of failure general, eat it.

.
I think these Talibs blow themselves up (damage done) before the Americans get a chance to kill them, that's just my guess. That's the only possible explanation for their accusations.

May be their point is, why these Talibs are provided safe havens inside Pakistan in the first place ?

that is my point too, let say Pakistan do provide them safe heaven but Pakistan does not provide them arms (they never accused pakistan of it) neither does Pakistan provide them stealth transportation to go deep inside undetected do some attacks and come back to safe heaven in a stealth magic carpet. If you consider yourself the most powerful country in the world then behave like one not like crying bitch.

.
Same old statements from USA .. Last I check USA is in bed with Isis in Afghanistan. America under trump is becoming a world wide joke

I am sure poppy seeds need water.
I am pretty sure that most Afghanis want a good life, where they are not commandeered by
the Taliban, nor by a local warlord.
That would mean a break with the past.

:sarcastic::sarcastic::sarcastic:

This is just ridiculous and leading nowhere. The US needs to leave but its better that they stay :pop::pop:

Time to break out the popcorn and enjoy the soap opera.

US drone strikes - Pakistan, 2017
Total US strikes 5
Total reported killed 15-22
Civilians reported killed 0-3
Children reported killed 0
Total reported injured 1-5

https://www.thebureauinvestigates.com/drone-war/data/pakistan-covert-us-reported-actions-2017

So 5 drone strikes in 11 months. Clearly if there is a safe haven they're talking about the strikes would've been much more common. Look, the reality is there is no known safe haven in Pakistan anymore. After operation ZeA no one is aware of any such safe havens. Some US general says they exist but they can't point them out where they are. It's obvious they are looking for scapegoats, otherwise such comments make zero sense.

I hope they listen to your plea and start pinpointing again like they did for years.
ONLY 5... salute to respect to national sovereignty You have.

Dude, everyone knew that there were safe havens in NWA before. They didn't pinpoint anything for years. Now thoese safe havens are gone and everyone is wondering where are these supposed safe havens.

ONLY 5... salute to respect to national sovereignty You have.

So, you were trying to score brownie points instead of making an actual argument? My point was not related to sovereignty but the fact that there are no such safe havens left and a few drone attacks do not point to a safe haven.
