I like how you bring up Afghanistan as an example. I don't want to derail this thread but I'll answer anyway, the problem is these Talibunnies are hiding and operating within civilians to carry out there activities.

Picture this, if you teleport all the Talibunnies and the US Military to an deserted island with nowhere to hide, no civilian dress to hide behind, let's see who wins.

Since you trumpet this so much, I want to ask you another question, can India do a better job than us?. You can't even handle your own insurgencies within your own country. So what makes India?.

Have forgotten the defeat you had in the hands of Vietnam, a small and poor country.

Why deserted island? If your army is so strong and polished why does it need a suitable enviroment for it to win. I thought you'd learned your lesson from the Vietnam war about gurilla warfare. Hence you prove the point that your army is not adequate enough to take out any country esp. Pak, india or be it china. The terrian is not suitable for your super army.

Ok leave Taliban. How successful were you against Al Qaida, which I believe is serious threat to US and its citizens. You are not able find, with all you military might, Osama bin Laden or his whereabouts and are talking about our handling of insurgencies? So what makes USA?

The situation is that our military is having their hands tied. What does this mean?. It means we have to factor in the civilians and the innocents. Hence, the reasons why I used the deserted Island example.

I give you a simple situation, if a Talibunny is firing among a bunch civilian at our guys and we know it came from the crowd of civilians. Do we search within the crowd while he continue to attack us or escape? or do we mow down everyone in that crowd? women, children and the elderly?.

You are everywhere with this post, why are you talking about caging with people when we are talking about Insurgency within a country. The Indian guy is saying we cannot handle Afghanistan, which I have answered already, so in return I ask him about how India deals with them within his own country.

The threat is true and agreeable. As a matter of fact they are a threat to not only us but the international community. No one said it was going to be an easy job, but it a job that has to be done, no matter how difficult.

I personally support this, to root out the terrorists and end Al Qaeda. Don't ask me how because I am not from the military. But it is a job that has to be done and no matter how tough.

A defeat is a defeat. No excuses.

It is not a excuse, just a clarification that we lost due to politics and not by our military capability which was the focus of the Indian guy.

We are not at fear of China, when talking fear, isn't India the one being surrounded by China and Pakistan?, so are you in fear? if your not, then it would be silly to say that we are at fear despite oceans away.

I personally support the deal as I have no ill feelings towards India or any country. To deny the political implications for this deal is naive.
