Wrong information. There has never been a seat for Taiwan in UN. From 1945 to 1971, it was "Republic of China" in UN. Republic of China also represented whole China by then. From 1971 to today it is "People's Republic of China" in UN. When a country is in civil war, only one government gets UN seat. Very normal thing.
