TOP 20 Muslim Economies

A similar video should be made about Hindu or better to say Indian inventions showing plastic surgery,Indian Numerical...and a lots more
yea it should also feature that guy who blowed up samjhota express train and bal thakeray and narinder modi the butcher of gujjrat

Nigeria has a bigger economy than Pakistan?

considering the amount of energy supplies they are sitting on, Nigeria should be the Brazil of Africa and the region......

they have a similar problem we have; it's called corruption/graft in government

So you still want to continue to be lazy. I am interested in overall development and innovation and not based on natural resources. What has Muslim done to this world/humanity in development?

hmmm well here just a very short list with a few things for starters .... many more where this came from

Mathematics

-- Hisab Al-Jabr (Algebra)
--the decimal position system, and the concept of zero
--the use of secant, cosecant and tangent functions
--innovations in algebraic calculus
--establishment of accurate trigonometric tables for sine and cosine
--introduction of trigonometric ratios more advanced than geometric methods used by Ptolemy

Science

--the invention and use of telescope
--Ibn Sina (d. 1037), better known to the West as Avicenna, was perhaps the greatest physician until the modern era. His famous book, Al-Qanun fi al-Tibb, remained a standard textbook even in Europe, for over 700 years. Ibn Sina's work is still studied and built upon in the East.
--Other significant contributions were made in pharmacology, such as Ibn Sina's Kitab al-Shifa' (Book of Healing), and in public health. Every major city in the Islamic world had a number of excellent hospitals, some of them teaching hospitals, and many of them were specialized for particular diseases, including mental and emotional. The Ottomans were particularly noted for their building of hospitals and for the high level of hygiene practiced in them.
--Abu Abdullah al-Battani (862-929 A.D.) was a son of a scientist and also a famous astronomer, mathematician and astrologer. He is often considered one of the greatest astronomists of Islam. His career of 42 years included a number of important discoveries, including the accurate determination of the solar year
as 365 days, 5 hours, 46 minutes, and 24 seconds, which is very close to modern estimates. He also determined with accuracy the obliquity of the ecliptic, the length of the seasons and the true and mean orbit of the sun. He proved that in contrast to Ptolemy, the variation of the apparent angular diameter of the sun and the possibility of annular eclipses.
--Muslims also made discoveries in Chemistry by discovering many new substances such as potash, nitrate of silver, corrosive sublimate and nitrate and sulfuric acid as well as improving methods for evaporation, filtration, sublimation, calcination, melting, distillation, and crystallization. Jabir, otherwise known as the father of alchemy contributed in the fields of Pharmacology and Toxicology

a lot of those scientists are Iranian and the concept of zero was invented by Indians not muslims

way to take credit for what's not yours.

(Even if) Zero was invented in India BUT Muslims used '0' as base and 'invented' the modern numerical system 0,1,2,3,4,5 . . . .

This numerical system revolutionized the world as after that different functions (+,- etc ) became possible. *hint* Try to add roman numerals ;)

Europeans got these numbers from Arabs (Muslims) . . . Algebric reducation invented by Al khawarzimi was later used by Newton to prove his 2nd law . . . . . . . . . and so on

Muslim Civilization contributed ALOT to Human race. . .

Same goes for Western or Greek civilization etc etc etc

Anyone been to "1001 inventions" ? :D

--------------------------------

read what the guy was asking for.....nationality doesnt matter here. Furthermore I dont think anyone who is living can take credit for anything that people dead invented, coined or discovered. I was just answering a question.

In life, there are no stupid questions.

just inquisitive idiots.

p.s.

As per sources, the first mathematics to use the number ''zero'' were based in the Indus valley which is in today's Pakistan.

hehe..In Pakistan? were they Muslims too? Most of the things you cited were known knowledge from earlier civilizations. Arabs only learned it and shared it with eastern europe. Anyways believe in whatever you want.

All the modern day technologies have come from secular democracies and not theocracies. World has seen tremendous progress over the last century more than its entire existence because of these secular democracies.

thats the evolution of human civilization...and as you confirmed muslims contributed it..europeans learned that knowledge thanks to muslims.

your secularism fetishism has started to be irritating..

why dont you go and secularize israel first?your fetishism doesnt apply to them?

Also Algebra and Decimal numbering system came from India. The muslims repackaged and presented it to the west as their own.
Medicine and surgery was also very advanced in India before Islam.

^^indians are the best and Muslims cheated everything they invented, from them

what ever makes you happy :P

Kid,ever even studied history? Yes,some of Arab mathematicians had Indian influence but this doesn't take away Muslim contributions. Can you take away the credit of Western Civilization because West learned maths, science, physics etc from Muslim civilization? :disagree:i.In fact,do you even know why Al khawarizimi is known as the father or founder of Algebra? The word "Algebra" itself comes from his book. In fact, many ancient civilizations developed some sort of algebraic methods of solving problems, as far back as the Babylonians, Diophantus of Alexandria and your Indian mathematicians such as Brahmagupta, but Al-Khwarizmi is considered by many to be the "father of algebra" because some of his techniques on solving quadratic equations are still in use today. He was the first to solve equations using general methods. He solved the linear indeterminate equations, quadratic equations, second order indeterminate equations and equations with multiple variable.

Al khawarizmi's methods are STILL in use. . . (Y+2=5,Y=3) This method is called Algebric reduction and this was invented by Al khawarizmi...

So,the bold part of your post in bullshit..I just gave you ONE example..there are millions of such. . .

Yes,they can think whatever they want...no one even gives a sh!t

According to them,Muslims took all things from India :rofl:

They were so advanced but yet almost every other civilization/nation conquered them and ruled over them ;)

Zero and the use of the decimal system as well as Trigonometry are Indian inventions not Islam's, please check your facts.
