He must have been at the number 3 position.

Also, between Stalin and Hitler, I would pick Hitler for the 1st position.

Hitler was a saint comparing to Stalin and communism...and in theory of lesser vs greater evil..the world would be spared communism if Hitler won in Soviet Union.

The most evil man I can think of is Giles de Rais. A 15th century French nobleman who tortured and killed hundreds of young children. He especially liked to see the moment the children realized that they were cornered and he liked to watch them die. There must have been worse people in the world but surely this man was among the worst of the worst.
