Britain claims to be multicultural, meaning they accept different kinds of people

“To be honest a lot of people at the school wear inappropriate clothing — inappropriate as in very provocative and revealing clothing like extremely short shorts — so it didn’t make sense that they were refusing me to wear the niqab” she said

So the school says its ok to dress up like a slut (though that too is against the rules) but no way can you make any other choice apart from that?

There is a difference in living in a officially islamic nation and a secular western nation.
Moreover its the school rules. Follow the rules. Simple as that.
Truth be told, many cannot interact freely with a person yu have never seen. Or they wont feel comfortable with.

Secularism says state or institition should not interfere with persons choice of faith, sexuality or way of life. Schools behaviour is clearly non secular.

No one is asking everyone to change their ENTIRE etiquette...but if they want to be called multicultural they shouldnt discriminate....but should accept what multicultural means....instead of enjoying the label but refusing to abide by it...

2ndly the school rules

What I am not sure is how does a face veil not allow teacher- student interactions....even shy kids cant have proper teacher.student interactions, what are they gonna do about that? Ban the child for not being vocal?

Fine it is was not forced on her, but there is direct indirect force. Direct is when you tell directly, indirectly by social stigma, forced by community etc. Let them cover it, but not a single instruction ever given since birth to do so.
