For those who have not followed the story:

The student has been studying at Camden School for Girls for five years. She sat her GCSEs this summer, and initially received a C in English language, which meant she could not attend the sixth form.

‘However, just a few weeks ago, the school called her up and informed her that she actually achieved an A grade, meaning that she could attend the sixth form she had been intending to go to.

‘This was amazing, right? She would be back with the same teachers, friends and place again.

‘But there was one problem: the niqab. The student only started to wear the niqab this year, and even sat her GCSE exams wearing the veil.

‘But this time, when the student returned to the school, wearing the niqab, a teacher claimed that she could not be allowed to study at the school.’

The petitioner claimed some students at the school wore the niqab in the past, adding: ‘This school is renowned for its “individuality” and “strong feminist views”.

'However, this poorly thought out decision made by the school contradicts this. What happened to ‘freedom of expression’?’

One of those to have signed the petition, Farhana Khanom, commented on the website: “I went to Camden school for girls and many girls wore veils and were allowed to do so. This school had a reputation. And now discriminating [against] people that made their own choice to wear what they feel is utterly disgusting.”

. .
What? Why don't I wear what?
The veil its her personal choice and its not any more indecent than a girl wearing revealing clothing, as is common in the west.
A veil is not a requirement for decency but it's not indecent either.
Why to hide hypocrisy? The veil is kind of oppression to the girls because it is mentioned in Holy Quran and people force them to wear. It is cumbersome for most of the girls and ill-logical in hot places.

Feminist school ?

That is the issue.

The feminist movement sees nijab as a patriarchal form of oppression.

‘This school is renowned for its “individuality” and “strong feminist views”.

Check the views of feminists on niqab/veil .I am talking western feminists.

she was born and bred in UK ...according to UK laws, you are more foreigner than she will be in that country!

And a country (UK) which prides itself with diversity and multiculturalism would not have a narrow mindset as you
If you are not following rules and culture. You are still immigrant be it what ever generations you stayed there.

As UK, France was also one of the same but you ruined the case by providing such theory. Now, you suffer! Wait for UK and other west on the same path.

A veil is not a requirement for decency but it's not indecent either.

Many schools sent back girls who wear indecent clothing. Now she was going to a feminist school lol. Feminist ethics are all anti-patriarchal.

poverty ,snake charmers yes. Rapists not so much.

But overall your own brethren are intent in preserving the negative image of your religion by their terrorist behavior. Almost all major terrorist groups currently are islamic in nature. Is that not fact?

Actually rapists a lot

islamic in nature
'Islamic'
Most of the 'terrorist groups' are not 'Islamic' at all. They just claim to be Islamic.
In Islam, the killing of an innocent is a very, very serious sin. Same thing with injustice, looting and torture etc.
These groups are made up of misguided Muslims being used as proxies by countries to achieve their political agendas.
They aren't representative of all Muslims any more than Rapists are representative of India

Yea all of it started after her O Levels!:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Before that they had other hormones pumped into them!

. .
That seems like Darwin's theory of reverse evolution. Wait, is there such a thing?
Only money speaks in India. If you have money then caste doesnt matter.
Now there is a trend in India of marriage of high caste girls with low caste boys so that there children are of low caste and can enjoy the benefits of quota and reservation.
Now you may say that because of karma high caste people are paying for there past sins but that is what it is.

Which hypocrisy are you talking about?
It is not mentioned in the Quran anywhere. Islam does not require women to wear the veil, some just prefer to do so.
It is not as cumbersome as it looks like, its actually very thin and not ill logical in hot places.

The veil is kind of oppression to the girls
Did you miss the part where the girl WANTS to wear it? How is that oppression? SHE WANTS TO WEAR THE VEIL. Does she want to oppress herself?

.
Secularism says state or institition should not interfere with persons choice of faith, sexuality or way of life. Schools behaviour is clearly non secular.
and the faith depends on apiece of garment?

Go ahead ask the feminist movement their view on indecent clothing and niqab.

You will have the answer.

Indecent clothing is freedom according to them from male oppression .Utter madness.

modest clothing is male oppression

Niqab is extreme oppression by males.

Don't distort his words. The girl is wearing a veil as she sees it as a religious obligation.

Go ahead ask the feminist movement their view on indecent clothing and niqab.

modest clothing is male oppression

Niqab is extreme oppression by males.

So naked women are being oppressed by the feminist matriarchy?
