Time to wage war on TTP in Afghanistan?

We don't have "Paisa" for such adventure.

Black Ops/covert mission and assassination of their leaders/commanders is the best way to get rid of them and keep hitting it will help alot.

killing brainwashed tali-dogs will help but not much.

A few dozen surgical strikes don't need much money as we are already doing this in wazirastan .

Covert ops will result in covert ops as is happening right now.

We need to put Afghnaistan to her place .

We need to stop Afghanis from entering into Pakistan as roughy daily 50000 people are crossing in and out Pakistan from two crossings.

Stop their transit trade.

Expel all their millions of refugees in few weeks time.

These measures will cripple their economy and then carry out strikes for a couple of weeks that would not only neutralize the TTP command and control structure it will also convey a stern message to India , Afghanistan and US that we are not in mood of playing games anymore and we mean business.

If its all about Kashmir that has to be resolved as per UN resolution rest come and fight with us as we are prepared till death.

We need to convey this message as strongly as possible otherwise they wont let us live in peace.

We have sufficient paisa for such kind of campaign. If we don't make yellow, orange, green trains or stupid metro buses for 2-3 years no one will die. Divert funds for getting necessary things. The latest video from TTP on the BKU attack is a very clear sign that they will attack more such institutions and it may become more ruthless.

TTP has now come to terms that they can't win militarily by going head to head with the Army, nor they are getting the kind of support they wished from the public, so now to make the future of the country bleak, they are going after the education system of the country. You can hear him say that all the people come from the education system, so we have started targeting it.

We should get number of these mq-9 or CH-5. they are cost effective and can serve the purpose.

By the way, how you plan to do that?
What is meant by ''attack''...........?
Air Strikes? Cruise strikes? Commando action? Full fledged war? Covert operation?

All I say, just expel all refuges at once. Their government will collapse automatically........... no need for War..... take soft but effective action.............
I think it will a type of Covert OP just like target killings

If afghan Govt dosen't coperate then its time again to go old school, Give all out support Afghan taliban and help them takeover Kabul with support of Russia and china bcz the current northern alliance is always going to be anti Pakistan.
Also make afghan taliban and US sit together and guarantee that afghan taliban will not hit US interests, in this way every one will be happy and peace can be restored to afgaynistan.

That's never going to work. The US nor their allies are willing to negotiate with the Taliban. Also, if Pakistan does that, I am pretty sure that will only make our relations with the US even worse, something that we don't want (especially when you consider how much American military equipment we use). What we should do is try to get peace between the Taliban and the Afghan government (which we are already doing) and if anyone acts out of line, we should launch a few punitive strikes to put them in their place.

Government under Nawaz forget about it, COAS on the other hand needs to STEPUP but for some reason I doubt if he is going to do so. This incident like all the others will be brushed under the carpet. COAS calling Ghani should Say about our priorities

Buy Hurkus or Super Tucano and keep it a affordable fight rather than using expensive jets to dispatch 4-5 guys at a time.

Any areas liberated should not be given back, specially Wakhan.

In any conflict the element of surprise ensures one's victory .
Obama had the audacity to mention in his state address as Pakistan being the country to be embroiled in conflicts for decades only because he knows these people will not take strict action letting all enemy agencies play their dirty games which will keep on weakening Pakistan unless we let go of Kashmir , give india transit and allow bull shit like gay rights and ban beard etc .

So our element of surprise would be if we attack TTP targets with our jets and cruise missiles in next few weeks it will catch all our enemies unprepared and give us the required results otherwise we can never match the funds and intel required for proxy wars and covert ops as Raw , Mossad , Cia and NDS are all against us together

What I suggest:

1: Expel all Afghan refuges at once. Don't listen to weeping of Afghan government that they don't have enough sources to hold them.

2: Increase surveillance of Durand Line. Induct more surveillance drones for this task.

3: Do a Drone strike when ever a Mortar or Rocket is fired from Afghanistan.

4: Don't let any Afghan air craft or Helicopter to cross the border. Shot it down the moment it enter in Pakistan air space.

5: Do covert operations against Indian embassies and make them as deadly as possible.

6: Target key locations by Air Strikes if presence of TTP commanders is detected.

7: Provide more weapons and intelligence support to Afghan Talibans. Arm them with Stingers and Snipers to make them more deadly and effective.

8: Increase pressure on Afghan Government to continue negotiations. Sit on Higher chair, keep them at your foot level.

Keep doing as long as they don't come back to their senses...........

@Pomegranate now you should agree with me...............

Why not attack TTP in Afghanistan?

We have been reading angry comments on the page since the BKU attack that the Pakistan Armed Forces are not responding against the terrorists who are residing in Afghanistan and are enjoying the hospitality of the Afghan security forces and its govt.

Let's make this one thing clear. Nothing and no one is too far from our reach in Afghanistan, we can launch a campaign inside Afghanistan to seek out and destroy these elements where they are. The military capability is present, so is willingness. The decision to start such a campaign lies with the people of Pakistan and the Govt.

The Military will do what the Govt asks them to do, if such a campaign is started, it will take years to complete and it will cost us financial resources and casualties of our soldiers. It will also create a situation where our right wing fundamentalists will start saying that Pakistan is bombing a 'fellow Muslim brotherly cousin country of Afghanistan'. They will simply overlook the fact that Afghanistan is sponsoring and facilitating the murder of Pakistani children.

Prime Minister has the authority to initiate such a campaign to seek out and destroy Taliban targets in Afghanistan. It will require for the Prime Minister and the people of Pakistan to resolutely support this campaign, morally and financially. It will also mean that the office of the PM would have to openly justify the use of force in Afghanistan and would have to own up to it.

When all of the above dynamics are in place there will be no place safe enough for any of the TTP bastards in Afghanistan nor those who are supporting them to carry out their murderous campaign.

Horus from team Pakistan Defence - SHARE/TAG

Is ISI not strong enough to perform covert operations within Afghanistan to eliminate the chain of command of TTP?

Just keep on sending Burraq frequently. Let those bastards be on the run for sake of their lives. Keep raining missiles and one day or other every big scum out there would for sure bite the dust. Instill fear of their life like we did during Zarb-e-Azb. This is kinda win win situation as there are no boots on ground and Hue and cry of Afghan Govt wud automatically be silenced when big TTP scums are taken out at Afghan soil.

@Horus

Why not just help Afghanistan and get rid of the Afghan Taliban, who the whole world knows, are holed up in you country?

Help Afghanistan destroy Afghan Taliban, and they ll make the TTP and other anti Pakistani elements go away? Surely that's the easiest and safest of the options?
