Time to End Ban on Weapons Sales to Vietnam

I wonder myself why the U.S still keeps military sanctions against Vietnam. It should lift them ASAP. Communism s long death. By lifting the sanctions, the U.S will help pull Vietnam closer to it and isolate Russias military influence in the country even more.

Yeah, we really dont need their weapon coz Russia weapons r good enough. Lifting the military sanction will bring more benefit to US than to VN and it also will increase the relationship btween us. We r nice & friendly people, stronger VN wont be a threat to US like stronger China.

Well that backfired against them.They are mistaken and dont expected such a quick reaction of 3 battalion.And retreated yesterday.

If PLA really wants to show some actions, then you will get steamrolled easily and made the 1962 war looks like a Sunday picnic.

So stop fabricating the stories like Chinese incursion then got repelled by the Indian army. It is really getting quite annoying.

I think Russia is better than US in making missiles. US is only better in making jet fighter. Other kinds of weapons btween Russia-US have the same quality but US weapons r more expensive. IF US only sell jet fighter to VN but dont transfer tech, then buying Su-30, Su-35 r better choice.

PLA try to itch and they meant for local operations .First they 300 soldiers to stop 100 of our soldirrs .When they saw that was not ineffective they send another 1000 to counter IA.Then we sent 3 battalion more 1500 troops.
So local operation blown out of proportion and it became a headache for visiting Xi and he ordered retreat .

Your PLA can scare small nations like Vietnam or Philipines .
But dont release that number here.Consequences will be worst.
In previous case IA retreated not because of their inability but they are obedient to elected govt in that case UPA.
But noe govt changed .
This was first strong action fron IA in recent years.PLA can expect much more if they repeated this.
