Three lakh Indian Bengali settlers face pushback from Assam to Bangladesh

Well the famous India Times. You can present the data in different way to show your end result. For instance NASA has department called "Anti Matter analysis" which has 4 out of 5 scientists are Bangladeshi and I make a news like "Nasa's anti matter scienties consits 80% Bangladeshi". Then all the headlines and TV talk show will be filled with that news. Thats how we deshi works dont we???

If you knew NASA's recruiting policy then you wont come with that bull$sit articles neither will you beleive that. First you have to be an American citizen to even apply for a Job in NASA. Then you need highest security clearances to have certain sensitive job posting. If you are not a citizen by birth you are more likely not getting the highest clearance. Then again if you visit back home then your clearance level will decrement. My friend workd for Lockhead for four years, while he could not come back to Bangldesh fearing to loose his job. He had his wedding reception after 4 years of his marriage, when he finally quit the job in Lockhead.

A economy brings opportunity for everybody, for a software engineer as well as the street sweeper. When there is few skilled people vying for job overseas that means there will be very few unskilled people vying for job overseas as well. Its proportionate. As there not a single skilled person (who are well documented) vying for job in India which means there is very less likely that unskilled will jumping over the fence. Yes there are natural migration which is normal as people historically likes to roam around(its the gene to blame to). I wont be surprised to see few Bangladeshis here are there in India as we share borders with India.

If your friend did work in Lockheed martin, he must have been naturalized citizens. LM doesn't recruit any immigrants. If he had security clearance and is a naturalized citizen, he can travel to any part of the world... but then i am assuming Lockheed, i dont know about "lockhead"

As far as Illegal bangla immigrants are concerned, why do they want to be second grade citizens in India.. instead go back to their homeland with pride and dignity and make a living there.

Yes he can travel to any country. But he may loose the clearance as it had negative points. Clearance was not given based on how you look but based on your life style and pattern of your acquintances.
Sorry for the typo, it was Lockheed.

They are 2nd class Indian citizen, thats true. How do you expect a 2nd class citizen of India will turn 1st class citizen of Bangldesh??

I think it would of been much better if Pakistan gave Bangladesh to India and India gave whole of Kashmir to Pakistan.

ecocomy bring oppotunity. I agree. But so you think economy of NE is so much that can feed 26 million unskilled labour. We don't need labour or sweeper because we don't lack it. We have more labour and sweeper than neccecerry and more unskilled laobur cause competition for job which a native could find easily if your people were not there to steal it.

Please give me a link from NASA itself. Same news circulated by more Indians wont do any good to me. I did the same googling with the keyword https://www.google.com/#sclient=psy-ab&hl=en&site=&source=hp&q=nasa+indian+employee&pbx=1&oq=nasa+indian+employee&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=9016l14204l0l14891l22l13l0l0l0l0l0l0ll0l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=4c3fe1a9859f48e4&biw=1280&bih=538and seems like rumor spread like hellfire.

India rising in US: Govt falls victim to net hoax - The Times of India

India rising in US: Govt falls victim to net hoax
12 Mar 2008, 0010 hrs IST,Chidanand Rajghatta,TNN

WASHINGTON: It's an Internet myth that has taken on a life of its own. No matter how often you slay this phony legend, it keeps popping up again like some hydra-headed beast.

But on Monday, the Indian government itself consecrated the oft-circulated fiction as fact in Parliament, possibly laying itself open to a breach of privilege. By relaying to Rajya Sabha members (as reported in The Times of India) a host of unsubstantiated and inflated figures about Indian professionals in US, the government also made a laughing stock of itself.

The figures provided by the Minister of State for Human Resource Development Purandeshwari included claims that 38 per cent of doctors in US are Indians, as are 36 per cent of NASA scientists and 34 per cent of Microsoft employees.

There is no survey that establishes these numbers, and absent a government clarification, it appears that the figures come from a shop-worn Internet chain mail that has been in circulation for many years. Spam has finally found its way into the Indian parliament dressed up as fact.

Attempts by this correspondent over the years to authenticate the figures have shown that it is exaggerated, and even false. Both Microsoft and NASA say they don't keep an ethnic headcount. While they acknowledge that a large number of their employees are of Indian origin, it is hardly in the 30-35 per cent range.

In a 2003 interview with this correspondent, Microsoft chief Bill Gates guessed that the number of Indians in the engineering sections of the company was perhaps in the region of 20 per cent, but he thought the overall figure was not true. NASA workers say the number of Indians in the organization is in the region of 4-5 per cent, but the 36 per cent figure is pure fiction.

The number of physicians of Indian-origin in the US is a little easier to estimate. The Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) has 42,000 members, in addition to around 15,000 medical students and residents. There were an estimated 850,000 doctors in the US in 2004. So, conflating the figures, no more than ten per cent of the physicians in US maybe of Indian-origin – and that includes Indian-Americans – assuming not everyone is registered with AAPI.

These numbers in themselves are remarkable considering Indians constitute less than one per cent of the US population. But in its enthusiasm to spin the image of the successful global Indian to its advantage, the government appears to have milked a long-discredited spam - an effort seen by some readers as the work of a lazy bureaucrat and an inept minister.

The story has attracted withering scrutiny and criticism on the Times of India's website, with most readers across the world trashing it.

"The minister should be hauled up by the house for breach of privilege of parliament (by presenting false information based on hearsay). We Indians are undoubtedly one of the most successful ethnic groups in USA, be it in Medicine, Engineering, Entrepreneurship. BUT, that does not translate to those ridiculous numbers that have been presented....this is a circulating e-mail hoax," wrote in Soumya from USA, who said he worked at the NASA facility in Ames, California, and the number was nowhere near what was mentioned in the figures given to Parliament.

"This minister (D.Purandeshwari, Minister of State for HRD)... should be held accountable for misleading the members of parliament and the citizens of India. This just shows how illiterate and mentally defunct the current Indian govt. is," wrote Anand from Melbourne.

Purandeshwari is not the first minister to use the dubious figures in a system where politicians depend heavily on their bureaucrats to furnish facts, figures, and speeches. Former home minister L.K.Advani used the same figures in a speech some years back on a visit to Washington DC.
You people making yourself a laughing stock infront of the entire world. Better get back to the topic.

Thats what makes us dubious. There is noway on earth NE India neither India has the capacity to take 26 million immigrant. So your myth of having 26 million immigrants are false and propaganda against your own muslim citizen.

Mate you have gone nuts or what ??:cheesy: I m glad that they are separate country, with no natural resource to boast of as well as their human resource too , is not that useful or productive when compared with ours(we are ! billion remember),besides their country is slowly going under the sea, they are more like a liability.

. . .
A covert movement should be launched for uprising of these Indian Bengali people for a separate independent state for them in all the places where they are majority or about to become majority. That will eventually lead to the full independence of NE India and all other states where people are discriminated and persecuted. This will be the beginning of the end of tearing India into many small pieces as that will bring stability in SA.

And a naval blockade should be put in the sea towards Bangladesh without actually entering Bangladesh and let the Indian armed forces simply just hold the ground on the other 3 for say 2 weeks. And then enjoy the show...
