Hindu girls pick Muslim hubbies in Pak court - The Times of India

Convert girls choose to go with husbands | The Nation

ISLAMABAD - Three Hindu girls, who after embracing Islam got married to Muslim boys, announced to live with their husbands and not their families.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday earlier allowed them to decide their future themselves. The girls decided their future at the Registrar Office of the Supreme Court.

The Chief Justice ordered the police officials to provide security to the girls. The court stated that the girls were old enough to make the right decisions themselves. The parents were not happy with the court’s decision and said the statements were not taken in an open court. They also staged protest outside the Supreme Court building. The girls, Faryal (Rinkle Kumari), Hafsa Bibi (Dr Lata) and Haleema Bibi (Asha Kumari) had earlier been allowed to decide whether they want to live with their husbands or their parents.

The three-member bench, comprising Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Tariq Parvez had ordered the police to provide adequate security to the girls and said that in case of any harm faced by the girls, the police officials will be held responsible for negligence.

The police officials have taken away the girls in high security towards homes of their spouses.

The court had earlier sent Faryal and Hafsa to a shelter home called ‘Panah’ in order to give them time to decide their future without any pressure.

The Bench was hearing a Constitutional petition moved by the Pakistan-Hindu Council.

They are sui-juris and are fully in a position to decide about their future because we feel that they had pressure free atmosphere, inasmuch as, neither of the parties was allowed to meet them, the court said.

Comdr Shaukat, Sain Rakhio Mirani and Dr. Ameer Sheikh, DIGs, Karachi (South), Larkana and Sukkur, respectively, alongwith other police officials, were present in court.

DIG Karachi (South) and DIG Sukkur were directed to take both these ladies in safe custody to the places of their own choice and wherever they want to stay, being sui-juris.

Aasha, who after conversion to Islam is known as Haleema Bibi.

She belongs to District Jacobabad. She is also a sui juris and cannot be compelled to accompany someone against her wishes.

In view of the matter, Sain Rakhio Mirani, DIG Larkana, present in court, is directed to take the said lady in safe custody to the place of her own choice, the court added.

The court has disposed of the case, however, thereafter the police was asked to continue submitting the report about the case fortnightly.

Dr Ramesh Kumar, patron-in-chief Pakistan-Hindu Council, had moved the petition asking for legislation to stop the practice of forced conversion of Hindu girls and the recovery of three females belonging to the Hindu community, including Rinkle daughter of Nandlal (Mirpur Mathello), Dr Lata daughter of Dr Ramesh (Jacobabad) and Asha (Larkana).

The court has sought Federal government’s response about steps being taken regarding legislation to discourage the forced conversion and other related issues being faced by the Hindu community.

Not this again. Safriz the Bhartis are going to start crying for 20 pages.

Dude, that doesn't add up. What other course of action do you think the girls could have taken? Was it an option for the girls to speak out against their "husbands"? Was it an option for them to leave Islam and "reconvert"? Yes to both. But were those safe or smart choices to make? No.

For one, some religious nut job would have accused them of blasphemy/apostasy for leaving Islam which is an open invitation for trouble. Even discounting that, where will these women go? Will our hypocritical societies accept women who leave their husbands? Will anyone else marry them? Will their families be free from judgmental eyes? Answer those questions honestly and you may get an insight into their thinking. I concede there is a tiny chance they are speaking the truth, but all evidence and common sense points to otherwise.

This issue further illustrates why forced conversion/marriage needs to be checked. It is an easy way for the men to get their way and women stay silent for fear of life and social condemnation.

OOO man ooo comen jaldi jaldi turn on yr TV and watch SAMAA TV rite now they giving interview and they are saying they are muslims and apni marzi se islam qabool kiya hai !!

Tonight with Jasmeen !!

OR

You always find a way to troll......

It's obvious that these girls, fell for Muslim men and converted to be with them, which was against their parents wishes, who being helpless and frustrated in all this, are trying to play dirty by giving it a religious dimension and crying foul play.

It doesn't answer my points, does it. It is inline and reinforces the very points. What other option do they have?

Or, people use the word "troll" here when they don't have anything else to say.

Like I said, there is a small chance you are right. But history (on both sides of the border) and common sense points otherwise.

First the media and senior members of society supported hindu community when it was ill informed that they were converted forcefully to Islam, Even hindu community had created a kind of dilemma ... I were watching their interviews on T.V and there acting were like to make to believe people in watever they've said even they managed to get whole support that they needed but in the end Girls decided their own future, and now they are muslims.. their is no forceful conversion is allowed in Islam. and If it happens then we being muslims will defend minority.. but If person decided on its own to choose Islam as religon then who are the you or me to stop him.. Its seems like your offense spefically against Islam is making you to speak and post utter non sense excuses as it were given By whole media before. Now everything is clear , Girl has chosen to go with thier hubbies. and thats their own decision. Now please stop creating non-sense stories here.

.

The people who knows don't require proves and people who don't believe will refuse to accept reality. So - what's the point to open thread on weekly basis on this?

Force conversion is a fart up story made up by anti-islamic bigots AKA seculars. There is not a single muslim country where forced conversion takes place. Force conversion doesn't even make sense. No body can be forced in to Islam.

Or, people use the word "troll" here when they don't have anything else to say.

Let me explain

When someone say He/She has been forcefully converted to Islam... Then your comment is Minority protection, Mullacracy, Extremism....

But when they deny the news that they were forced its "They had no choice".....

In other words you can't think .00001% positive about Pakistan. In any news you'll try to find a way to satisfy your sad little self. trolls like you can post 1000s of links proving India doing better than Pakistan but in reality you guys are bunch of real sad people who will do anything to get little happyness.
