What's new

This Syrian Refugee Has Set up a Shawarma Stall in Islamabad

I am pissed at your attitude.. how you write.
I have added to the above..

But in the post the anti Pakistan elements are not wanted. I agree with you
Jog on mate...with your corrections.
Tell us when u do something for Pakistan. What an emotional rant.
The man is here.
Working hard
Leant urdu
Praises the people. What more do u want???? Glass always half full ??

I think you lost my original point..It wasnt about this man in particular.I wish him the best..It was about the folks here who are excited about getting more refugees.

Pakistan can not afford to have refugees(regardless of what country) Our plate is already full.In past 50 years we failed to assimilate different communities in our only metropolitan city Karachi where areas are identified based on ethnicity. We need to do a great deal of homework before trying out new adventures..

As for attitude, i truly understand our national behavior of reacting to a 'correction'(done in good faith)..We are here to learn from each other, its hard to put friendly emotions in all words online..Appreciate what you think is right and spread it.Dont take everything at heart..

I quite like shawarma, especially when it's warm and a little fatty. Mixed in bread with some fresh salad, olives, a little pickled cabbage and of course, chips!!!

Turks and Azeris make the best one.

Because originally what is now called "shwarma" meat was the food item of nomadic Turkic people that settled in Anatolia, it doesn't originally belong to Arabs. Arabs appropriated it from the Turks during Ottoman rule of Levant Arab countries like Lebanon, Syria etc.

I saw him today working in F10 Markaz huge crowd around his shop with lots of people buying and taking photos

Interesting thing is that his shop is besides the shop run by restaurant owned by afghan origin people
You reap what you sow. We had shown nothing but hospitality to the Afghans but we thought they were Pakhtoons and had some honour but we we're dead wrong. They people of Afghanistan are no Pakhtoons.

Only if afghanis can learn something from him and see the love and respect he is giving to his host country. Shows the character of a nation. Of course Pakistan and Pakistanis are/will be giving him much more in return.
Syrians are hard working people!. They will do a lot with minimum.

I look at my great parents/grand parents who came from there without nothing and built a life out of nothing.

Turks and Azeris make the best one.
ummm... NOPE. Best ones are in Syria or Lebanon.
