I walk past this shit day & night in U.K. from 6am on the way to work I get , “ beg you a pound bro , beg you some change , every traffic light these poor souls run up to my car asking for loose change .

The system has abandoned them , these guys need help and are Ill. It’s a sickness they have .

We have a thing called HMO ( housing multiple occupancy) here in the U.K. where the government pays landlords to house each person in a shared house by giving them a room . Mental sickness , drug addicts , alcohol dependency , domestic violence sufferers , prisoners on license in the community all sharing a house with no checks no kitchen dirty broken toilets let alone bathrooms
Only a bed in a small dingy room .

It’s so so sad how they’re treated it’s like out of Charles Dickens book .

Here is a landlord (who I guarantee is a @#$%^ absentee one) renting to people in Oakland (a known poor hellhole area) crying about how due to Covid moratoriums on rent he and others are losing money...oh the sob story!

Should we feel bad about this landlord not getting his rent money.

This is just a big scam by big-mouthed politicians who never can supply jobs but who are perfectly happy to welcome and pay for people to live in a hellhole in some high crime area.

We have politicians in the US who welcome border jumpers into their cities and are happy to give them vouchers so they can pile 20 people without jobs into an apartment in some high crime area where they fear for their lives. Also they displace the poor Americans into the streets who aren't lucky enough to get these government vouchers.

Do these politicians entice businesses to go these areas so these people can work and live happier lives. Nope, they raise the minimum theft amount for a felony to over $1000 so these people don't get arrested and thus the business close shop and run away leaving these areas even more desolate.
