What's new

"This is not your bloody area"

By the way,is it just me or in this particular incident, the PLA troopers were looking too much taller than their Indian counterparts??Or was it that they were on higher grounds??

Gradient. Higher ground.

There is also a gully in which the excited young Indian officer and his second in command and a few others are standing (and pacing)

The soldiers with locked hands (on Indian side also, behind) are again on higher ground.

A battalion is roughly a 100 men...

A Lt Col leads a regiment/unit... Thts give or takea 1000 troops.

Even NCOs can lead battalions but it mostly captains that do so..

Sir are u sure Battalion is around just 100 men? What is company comprised of then?

And I said Lieutenent Colonel leads it not a Colonel , However I'm not so sure about that now . :undecided:

Very Professional and courteous of the Chinese,as usual. The lesser said about the other side the better, particularly the officer, very un-officer like behaviour from a nation created by the British who stress on "officer like traits"

And you are a "THINK TANK: ANALYST",whatever the fuckking hell that is supposed to mean.A so called think tank, that can not tell anxiousness from aggression. And by the way,the only reason the PLA officer was acting in such a timid way because he knew he,along with his men had entered into Indian territory.Do you really think he or any other PLA men would have acted in such manner if and when our forces intrude into territory, perceived to be your own??

If you believed an entire battalion of foreign troops was intruding into your soil, instead of crying and screaming like that guy in the video, why not do what any self-respecting country would do, and forcibly escort them out of the area?

And yes, I'm telling you from a Chinese perspective, it looks like that Indian guy is both terribly scared and trying to start a fight.

Who the Hell screams their head off like that without wanting a fight?

True to an extent. But they also have to cater for more powerful military forces. So they can not shift their entire might on the southern fron.

That's true for the TAR region, which is a big plateau and is traversable by vehicles even without paved roads. But the LAC is a totally different ball game altogether.True, that the TAR is well connected with mainland but it's also true that there are only so many roads that lead to the LAC,which is a rugged mountainous wasteland and is not at all fit for heavy military traffics, since the only so called roads are just narrow mountain passes and we hold the higher grounds, overlooking those passes.

You would be surprised what can be done even in such terrain.. To give you an example ... Well FATA is a good one.. You would be surprised (Even US mil officers were) to see tanks and heavy artillery on mountains & ridges places by PA... And the terrain is much rougher than LAC..

More troops??I seriously doubt that.Do you know that there are 12 mountain divisions at the disposal of the North Eastern command, with 2 more such divisions and 1 artillery division, along with some independent artillery and armored brigades under the process of being raised??Do you know the number of combat troops in the mountain divisions??

I'm yet to see an 'Indian fanboy' making any jingoistic statement here in this thread. But same can not be said about the members from your nation.

I'm sure you have extensive experience owing to your military service but facts on ground are different ... Even a layman can google... So you should try...

Big gut did not "look" officer.

I might be wrong. Can't figure out Chinese ranks.

I have no idea wrt chinese ranks.. Maybe a chinese member can shed light on that.

Don't be misled. Those divisions are already stretched thin against a few ten thousands of freedom fighters in various parts in NE.So much that there is hardly any proper force left to deploy against an attack from north.
Do remember that Indians like to outnumber their enemy by at least 50,that is against just less trained (in comparison to armies like PLA) freedom fighting groups.

Clearly you have got no fuckking idea about the situation that brought the incident into being taken place.Did you see any Indian structures in that area, any strong points or something??Those area are just paroled by the troops from both sides from time to time and sometimes such patrol parties meet up with one another. It was one of those incidents, and definitely the Indian party was in position to throw them back.

And yes, I'm telling you from a Chinese perspective, it looks like that Indian guy is both terribly scared and trying to start a fight.

There is a difference between being nervous and being scared 'terribly scared'.I would love to see what the reaction of the Chinese side had been, had the tables were turned in our favor.
They were standing on the higher grounds
That's what I thought.

nice one:haha:
Btw, had it been vice versa, Chinese shouting and India soldiers listening, ALL people here who are bashing for being unprofessional would have said Indian soldiers were timid and stuff.
So chill, It was border- my enemy was in my land- i am a fkin soldier not a security guard that would do *please please.can you just leave my land? pretty please? :( *
And please dont mind these Chinese trolls here on the thread~

Another totally offkey but weird thing suddenly hit me, about the two clips.

Short of the shouting and histrionics and the mc bc stuff from our side (am sure the Chinese members here could pick out some similar stuff from theirs), the officers from both sides seem to now have a Indo-Chinese "link language" .....

English. :D

Wonder what the situation was in 1962 and that era.

Was there any talking or only shooting.

Yes,but the ones you were fighting were not equipped with man portable ATGMs like Milan 3 and Kornet E,were they??

I never did military service. But which part you do not agree with??Which part is totally contrary to ground reality??The Eastern command do have 12 mountain divisions (or is it 11) under its command and the formations that I mentioned were being raised for the Mountain Strike Corps. What is there not to believe in my statement??It's all in public domains for crying out loud.

My bad a battalion has like 700 guys ... Divided into 4 companies...
But each company usually consists of 4 platoons, which would bring the number of soldiers in a company to 32X4 = 128.So how could 700 men occupy 4 companies??Or does the PA follow different composition structures??
