"This is not your bloody area"

China is much powerful from india - check.

China has better infrastructure to move troops, heavy weapons and can move em fast as compared to india. - Check.

China has heavy presence and more troops and weapons in tht area. - Check

indian fanboys fuelled by jingoism - double check.

So you think that scare us???
Did you see the video???

FYI.. India holds the strategic and higher grounds in LAC

BTW... While I acknowledge that China and India interpret the border differently in this area, Body language suggests that the Chinese knew they were in Indian territory. If your neighbor walked into your yard and set up for himself and you caught him....he would 1. Try to pacify you. 2. Film it so that you cannot punch him. 3. You would be angrier than him . ...exactly what is happening here....our asian neighbors are trying to be too clever by half.... Anyway peace...long live both countries.

True to an extent. But they also have to cater for more powerful military forces. So they can not shift their entire might on the southern fron.

That's true for the TAR region, which is a big plateau and is traversable by vehicles even without paved roads. But the LAC is a totally different ball game altogether.True, that the TAR is well connected with mainland but it's also true that there are only so many roads that lead to the LAC,which is a rugged mountainous wasteland and is not at all fit for heavy military traffics, since the only so called roads are just narrow mountain passes and we hold the higher grounds, overlooking those passes.

China has heavy presence and more troops and weapons in tht area. - Check

More troops??I seriously doubt that.Do you know that there are 12 mountain divisions at the disposal of the North Eastern command, with 2 more such divisions and 1 artillery division, along with some independent artillery and armored brigades under the process of being raised??Do you know the number of combat troops in the mountain divisions??

I'm yet to see an 'Indian fanboy' making any jingoistic statement here in this thread. But same can not be said about the members from your nation.

Exactly, the Chinese soldiers were being polite and professional. The Indian soldiers were screaming their heads off.

It's obvious from the video, that it was the vastly weaker Indian side that was being belligerent.

@TaiShang, @ChineseTiger1986, @Edison Chen, @AndrewJin
The gap between these two nations are becoming bigger and bigger year after year. Their weakness is quite obvious, and their media is telling the world their weakness. Decades later, this failed regime still has not learned how to keep a low profile on the international stage.

Brother did you see how that Indian officer was screaming his head off in that video?

Like he is desperately looking for a fight, but afraid to actually start one.

These are the types of people who are going to start a border conflict which will turn into another war. And its all on video, so everyone will know who fired the first shot.

He wasn't looking for a fight ... He seemed anxious/nervous .. probably scared of getting into one...

It's basic human psyche thing...

People either shout when thy are scared or over excited or out of grief...

You can tell tht by his words and body language ...

And you are a "THINK TANK: ANALYST",whatever the fuckking hell that is supposed to mean.A so called think tank, that can not tell anxiousness from aggression. And by the way,the only reason the PLA officer was acting in such a timid way because he knew he,along with his men had entered into Indian territory.Do you really think he or any other PLA men would have acted in such manner if and when our forces intrude into territory, perceived to be your own??

But according to psyche those start shouting to others does not bother if they want a confrontation or not.If they don't want confrontation one never shout.

Finally one who got the point.Yes,he was anxious,he was nervous and excited too, anyone would have been in such a situation, especially so when his unit was outnumbered by a significant margin and that too in open ground. He was clearly surprised to see so many PLA troopers in a supposed recce patrol, which usually are no more numerous that 15-20 men strong.

A battalion is roughly a 100 men...

A Lt Col leads a regiment/unit... Thts give or take a 1000 troops.

Even NCOs and LTs can lead battalions but it's mostly captains that do so.. Not colonels.

100??

Could have gotten ugly very quickly from the amount of men, and hand waving and finger wagging going on.

By now in a similar situation on the street, some pushing and then blows would have started.

Its obvious the type of discipline involved. And the knowledge of the consequences.

Also, was there a "we are brothers" thrown somewhere in there from the Chinese side? :)
cmon doc, I thought the video was cute...

Big gut did not "look" officer.

I might be wrong. Can't figure out Chinese ranks.

By the way,is it just me or in this particular incident, the PLA troopers were looking too much taller than their Indian counterparts??Or was it that they were on higher grounds??

Or just irresponsible...

indo - China border is demarcated it seems much like Pak-Afghan...(although our troops do exchange fire - after warning shots are fired)... Pak-ind border is another thing though..

But here (the video) it seems that the nervous yelling by the indian officer could have triggered the situation into a dangerous one had the Chinese side reacted aggressively.
