This Diwali is special, Modi breaking India-China ties

Gooda article! Which buttom I should press to share this thread to my wechat or facebook?

.
 well well well.

That's not what ground situation is.
It all started as a "Social media" campaign after China threatened with blocking Brahmaputra in support to Pak. You can check FB and Tweeter. People willing boycot the Chinese goods to show anger. It's not like GOI sponsor it.

As per today's statistics the total sale of firecrackers is down by 15% as compared to previous years and around 35%-50% of Chinese origin.
Even 35/40% wholesalers avoided selling Chinese "lights/firecrackers and other material during festival season."

People are buying expensive alternative to Chinese goods. And there is nothing China or GOI can do about it. It's people's choice.

. .
@GURU DUTT , did you buy chinese made crackers ? Share some pics ... ")
no bhai i have wouved not to use any chinese made crakers or ligting products on diwali this year and over a period of time no matter how much extra i have to pay will rpelace every other electrical chinese made good with a non chinese one but never a chinese one for me ever again

The Indians here have recently took to cheering every act of bloodshed on their borders as phantom "surgical strikes" or "retaliatory killing".

But we don't care about any of that. We will keep selling, and whoever wants to buy it can buy it. Be it Indians or North Koreans.
why would a super power like india buy from china?

. .
We used to hear a lot of people hear boast about string of pearls, what happened to that I wonder? Oh that's right, this government killed that silly dream in its infancy. Now, whether the US ambassador or Dalai Lama visits AP, there is little Chinese can do but whine.

As for boycotting poor, low grade Chinese goods, that's the people choice. I don't know about a communist single party dictatorship like China or a pseudo-democracy such as Pak, but in India, people can buy or not buy what they wish to. The government does not intervene, particularly now that it is bound by WTO norms.

.
2. Pakistani Leadership overtly announced it wouldn't transfer any troops from Afghan border to Indian side in response to the surgical strikes, debunking the thought Pakistan will vociferously retaliate any response to Mumbai attack. This is a green signal for India to go for more surgical strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan will choose to be a silent victim for each violation of its sovereignty.
.

for you sake I Hope next time they have a video proof otherwise you cant live on this fantasy forever. Pakistan army has been wearing pants since inception, your army just started wearing it.

Time will show what Indian Military is capable of , this is not 1962 but 2016.

The lake is not located in a disputed area- meaning you will have to invade China and occupy Tibet.

'We will'
'We shall'
'We've planned'
'We've got all policies in place'
'We can'

All empty chest-thumping rhetorics as always

Border talks are being held for what , Why you cant accept the reality ?

Border talks on what? i've already stated the lake is not in a disputed area- so what's there to 'border-talk' about on it? what reality is there to accept?

Nine are between India and China; Aksai Chin, Shaksgam, Arunachal Pradesh (termed South Tibet by China), and Demchok, Chumar, Kaurik, Shipki La, Jadh and Lapthal – all areas between Aksai Chin and Nepal. Then are 11 territorial disputes between China and Bhutan, some of which can have adverse effects on India, should China resort to occupying these areas forcibly. Additionally, Chinese semi-permanent presence in Gilgit-Baltistan exponentially complicates resolution of India-Pakistan territorial disputes.

China’s Himalayan loot began silently in the 1950s by transcending the boundaries of Tibet and steamrolling the occupation of Aksai Chin (38,000 square kilometres) that was part of Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir acceded by Maharaja Hari Singh to India post Partition

China’s National Highway 219 repaved recently runs now through Aksai Chin connecting Tibet with the Xinjiang region. This Chinese move was not mere territory grab but part of a larger integrated politico-military strategy that looked far into the future taking into consideration the long term requirements of resources, particularly energy that would increase in gargantuan proportions, plus the security of the long supply lines.

In Pakistan, perpetually in search of its identity, China has found an easy ally. Pakistan ceded the Shaksgam Valley (some 6,000 square kilometres of Indian Territory) to China. China resolved her borders with all countries less India and Bhutan, which was by design. In certain areas Chinese claim lines kept extending progressively as the years went by – from 1959 the claim line to more demanding one in 1963 and subsequently extending further in 1969 and 1975 so forth and so on.

The Ladakhi enclave consists of the village of Minsar (Men ser), near Lake Manasarovar (Ma pham), and its surrounding land, while Tconsists of Darchen (Dar chen) Labrang and several smaller monasteries and villages near Mount Kailas (Gangs rin po che, Ti se). The Ladakhi estate of Minsar which the King of Ladakh/J&K retained was ostensibly to meet the religious offering expenses of Lake Manasarowar and Mount Kailas. These enclaves were entirely surrounded by the territory of the Dalai Lama, but Ladakh (superseded by the government of Jammu and Kashmir after 1846) and Bhutan continued to raise revenue there for some 300 years.
