yesterday i saw women commandos firing RPGs, i don't think that its of any use in COIN operations which usually are close quarter combat.

It is of use in combat where the terrorists are hiding in caves and fortified emplacements. Also useful when targeting enemy vehicles and technicals.

the forces are usually called in when the terrorists are already at their target, i have not yet seen the use of Rockets by even our military in urban areas.
I don't think police should be militarized, meaning they should be equipped by automatic weapons, armored vehicles but heavy weapons such as rockets.... what's next atgm or manpad?

That demonstration was for show anyways, it's not like they're going to be using them everywhere. Depending on what the situation is, but they'll rarely need to use those heavy weapons.

It's not regular police, this unit is specifically for counter terrorism, so I wouldn't worry about militarization of the police. They're already as militarized as they'll ever be.
