I have a love-hate relationship with Karachi. It's dirty, disorganized, noisy, has lots of petty crimes. But it also has very poor-friendly people, wonderful winter weather, the most 'liberal' feel for any Pakistani cities and in July/August, the monsoon, despite lots of mess, is a wonderful experience.

There's no other like Karachi - the ONLY mega city of Pakistan. That's exactly why Pakistani Governments destroyed it. This city created great amount of jealousy in them. They pampered Lahore and Islamabad but they didn't care for Karachi despite the fact that Karachi has given SO MUCH to Pakistan almost unquestioned.

Karachi runs due to her people while governments just collect extortion from it. That's the story from Karachi.

I always think that Pakistani rulers give excuse that Balochistan is not developed due to illiteracy and feudal mindset...tribal society etc blah blah....okay, fine.

But what excuse these fu**ers* can make when it comes to Karachi? Why didn't they develop Karachi?

Karachi had none of these problems/issues that Balochistan continues to have to this date. In fact Karachi was totally opposite and yet they destroyed Karachi out of jealousy and inferiority complex - which means they only know how to loot and plunder places of others while they will pamper their own cities.

My blood boils when I think of this.

What gives me little hope is that Karachiites are really angry BUT still have fight left in them.

They will not leave Karachi to dogs. Anger and desperation is quite real here.

One day, Karachi will be sorted out and she will march to gain new heights. People here still wants to see Karachi gain her past glory back.

A city which my forefathers made their home.

I will love her to my last breath.

Karachi was destroyed by the very people who claimed to own it, aka the MQM and all those who supported it.
If people would still not realize what went wrong and keep blaming others or the government it will never be fixed.

Laterwords, they became too much to support and hence got flushed down in toilet by Karachiites.

The only development work occurred in history of Karachi after 1947 was done by Mustafa Kamal - MQM.

Yes, they did corruption as well but which party doesn't. Still Lahore and Islamabad are progressing peacefully.

MQM role is way minimal compared to bigger fu**ers who deliberately neglected Karachi.

MQM was not stopping anyone to do something for Karachi. FACT is Pakistani elite never considered Karachi as their own...Shifting capital was the biggest example. Did MQM also exist in 1950s or 60s?

Karachi's downfall started after shifting of capital.

No one is giving free pass to MQM but Pakistani elite can't hide their inferiority complex and sheer jealousy/biasnees towards Karachi behind MQM.

First natural gas reserves discovered in 1952 in SUI Baluchistan and guess which city gets it first? Karachi in 1955 and when did local people of Baluchistan get it? Do some honest research. To bring a positive change the first step is to analyse the real cause and not repeat it, but very few people have the moral courage to do that.

Yes...MQM destroyed this city....MQM made federal government and NEVER did anything for Karachi.

MQM shifted capital from Karachi to Islamabad.

MQM never allocated anything in budget for Karachi despite getting in power in elections.

You are not getting my point....MQM is not as bad as compared to bigger fish who literally holds two fukin provinces as hostages (PML-N in Punjab and PPP in Sindh)

MQM was effectively controlled by establishment to quite extent to counter PPP.

Once given local government, MQM DELIVERED. No one can deny that. MQM were locals and knew where problem lied and fixed it. Karachi was developing under Musharraf era. No one can deny that.

Pakistani elite hates Karachi and has tremendous jealousy from it.

Karachi gets it first because it was the most educated city and business centre. The most important thing it was the CAPITAL of Pakistan.
