The Zoroastrian priestesses of Iran

No I don't think so.

But due to strictly enforced endogamy and patrilineal lineage, most Athrvan in India can trace their bloodlines back to ancient Magii families who migrated and landed here a thousand years ago.

Cheers, Doc
Why Zoroastrians treat Fire as some holy Idol ? My family name is Agnihotra it means Brahmins who performs Fire sacrifice otthe Gods, we start Agni and after ritual wait till it burns out completely and repeat the process next time.

However we were advised to keep small light/Diya in our house 24/7 in Vedas.

I don't know.

You should ask Iranians this question.

We are just Indians who follow their ancient faith.

by looking for it on the net you can conclude it represent purity and wisdom and bright mind,it also Gathas he speaks of fire as a bright and powerful creation of Ahura Mazda and prefers fire instead of idols as a symbol of divinity.in Yasna Fire is described as bright, warm and energetic faculty of Ahura Mazda.

Fire represent life and and the inherent nature of Ahura Mazda.

by the way calling it an Idol is somehow the word of people who say Zoroastrian worship fire , a very wrong assumption .
