Egyptian officials have revealed that they stand to benefit more from the Turkey-Libya deal then with what is on the table with Greece.
Last week, an Egyptian official gave a revealing statement to Mada Masr, a Cairo based media platform, saying “the Foreign Ministry and the General Intelligence Service (GIS) were lobbying the Egyptian Presidency for a quiet acceptance of the Turkey-Libya maritime deal, as it would grant Cairo a sizable maritime concession in the stalled maritime negotiations (with Greece).”

The Tirana and Sanafir islands in the Red Sea were perhaps not of great economic value. This time, however, Egypt abandons a potential wealth by leaving the possible gas field and rich fish beds to Greece. Moreover, in terms of international law, there is no defensible side of such loss.

Greece cannot finance this loss. Egypt not loosed only its prestige after military coup, but also its lands and seas...On the other side, economic relief, the biggest promise, is still not reached.

Those islands were apart of KSA, they were very weak militarily so they gave them to Egypt in the 50s so that Israel couldn't conquer them. It is only right to give them back now that the problem is not a problem anymore.

In a satellite image captured on 5th May we can see at least 6 United Arab Emirates – Air Force Dassault Mirage 2000-9 deployed in Sidi el Barrani AB, western Egypt.

We don’t know if these figthers are based here to participate in aerial operations over Libya.

In a satellite image captured on 5th May we can see at least 6 United Arab Emirates – Air Force Dassault Mirage 2000-9 deployed in Sidi el Barrani AB, western Egypt.

We don’t know if these figthers are based here to participate in aerial operations over Libya.

Simple to understand; Qatar betrayed the coaltion in Yemen and many UAE and KSA and Sudanese died because of that betrayal.. and guess what..Turkey was behind that..that is why it scrambled to have a military base in Qatar to protect its agent .. Qatar

Well, let's take it that way ..

If Turkey gets involved directly it will be attacked as the Wattya air base attack shows clearly..
Turks seem to have shut up now after the red line was clearly stated.. just a few Pakistanis here and there talking for them as if they have moved their embassies and consulates over there.. but not even realistic .. because in real life.. Pakistan.. the real thing.. stands with Arabs mostly..Turkey is a weapons provider.. nothing more.. and even that.. when it will be able to provide them in real life not in just words..

No skirmish in the horizon..UAE is part of the GCC and the Arab coalition in Yemen..as well as member of the Arab league.. all of which are against Turkey's interventions in the Arab world..including Syria, Iraq and Libya.. it was stated clearly..even by Algeria and Tunisia joining Egypt on the matter..
Taking on the UAE, means taking on 500 million Arabs..as simple as that..
