@waz @The Eagle Can you please delete this child's racist comment. As you can see he has no capability to have a proper discussion and instead resorts to cheap insults when confronted with facts.

Anyway, I respect Turkey, so don't try and start a troll war.

  • Having delivered 133 ACV-15 vehicles to the UAE, FNSS continues to carry out the maintenance and management of these vehicles through its UAE office.
  • When the Royal Saudi Arabian Armed Forces considered the modernisation of different types of M113 Armoured Personnel Carriers (APC), FNSS not only offered them an effective solution, but also implemented it by assuming the operation of the Al-Kharj maintenance and repair facilities belonging to the Royal Saudi Arabian Armed Forces. Within the scope of successive contracts that involved three phases, FNSS modernised over 1,000 M113’s to the M113A4 level.
  • FNSS forged its first relations with Malaysia through the ACV-15, and under three separate orders Malaysia purchased a total of 267 ACV-15s & ACV-19s in different configurations. The project also involved the transfer of technology and the final assembly of some of these vehicles – designated ADNAN by the end user – in Malaysia.
  • Pleased with its ADNAN tracked armoured vehicles, Malaysia also selected FNSS for the development and local production of wheeled armoured vehicles, purchasing a total of 257 AV8 GEMPITA platforms in 12 configurations, based on FNSS’ PARS family of vehicles. Benefitting from the experience it gained with ADNAN, the Malaysian industry (DEFTECH – DRB-HICOM Defence Technologies) assumed the role of prime contractor in this project.
  • Following the Malaysian example, Oman also selected the PARS product family to meet its wheeled armoured vehicle requirements. Currently preparing to deliver a total of 172 vehicles in 13 configurations to Oman, FNSS will also provide local solutions to the vehicles’ life cycle support and management requirements. While 145 of these vehicles will be PARS III 8x8 platforms, delivered in eight different configurations, the remaining 27 will be PARS III 6x6 platforms, and will be delivered in five different configurations.
  • In line with evolving concepts of warfare, Indonesia identified a requirement for a medium-class tank. FNSS and its local partners jointly developed the KAPLAN MT, which is currently undergoing qualification tests.

Stupid question but why dont we order these for army and wreak havoc on qandil?

maybe one missle one failure and entire system is defect..

edit I mean an enemy missle fired at it..

if you have multible vehicles you can spread them over a wide area and the enemey has to destroy every vehicle.. yes you may have more costs but you are more flexible and faster in deploying them where you want..

but just for fun I would like to see ten of those active against kandil or manbitch :D

Why is Turkey selling defence products to UAE? This is simply outrageous under the present circumstances.

the OP shortly mentions the position of Turkey in my perspective, and examplified/backed by the reality on the ground or as seen at each post in this thread.

It is not daily bilateral/multilateral problems among politicians/countries but the bigger picture for the future of the Islam geography.

ÖZGÜR PROGRAMME
The ÖZGÜR Programme was launched by a DIEC decree on 15 December 2010, in line with TurAF requirements, and covers the modernisation and certification of an F-16C Block 30 aircraft (which did not receive the Peace Onyx III avionics upgrade) with a national avionic suite solution that combines an indigenous mission computer with a national operational flight programme and an optional AESA radar. The 6 March 2012 contract signed by SSB and TAI became effective on 24 May that year: Aselsan is the main subcontractor for the ÖZGÜR programme.

Under the $46 million contract, TAI’s original intent was to conduct a first test flight with the indigenous avionics solution within three years and to commence a 52-month delivery programme in the fourth year. All 35 Block 30 aircraft in TurAF service where therefore expected to be completed by 2020, but the programme is currently lagging behind this schedule.

Meanwhile, TAI and Aselsan signed a $17 million contract on 6 March 2012 for development of a mission computer and procurement of the related avionics, with a 46-month schedule. A System Requirements Review Meeting was held on 4 December 2012 with the participation SSB and the TurAF, and the Preliminary Design Review (PDR) phase was completed in 2013.

The prototype F-16C Block 30 aircraft modernised under the ÖZGÜR Programme and equipped with three coloured multi-functional displays and an indigenous mission computer running an Aselsan-developed national operational flight programme had conducted nine test flights as of 27 December 2016. The software running on the mission computer is installed in blocks dealing with different task capabilities (air-to-air, air-to-surface, etc.), which means not all mission computer functions are yet available. The existing flight control computer has not been changed and is therefore being used as part of the current project on an ‘as is’ basis.

In December 2016 (month 54), the 52-month programme schedule was extended to 80 months. After an extended period of silence, a prototype F-16C Block 30 modified under the ÖZGÜR programme conducted a test flight over Ankara on 23 July 2018. Sources have indicated to MONCh that important achievements have been made in the programme during the last two years and that steps are currently being taken to initiate the serial modernisation phase of the programme.
