The Status of Pakistan's Radar Network During US raid

Bangladesh was lost because bhutto did not accepted the defeat in election .

Big no.......infect when ever they failed they blame civilian Government. truth is they have lost every war they have fought so for, because they have failed to produce any result except 1965...........These guys are Don of Pakistan they gain what ever they want, our Civilian leader ship is just a show piece they can never make any decision without the approval of these beasts.........

this is quite unacceptable that a garrison city has been raided by US forces... i think the surprise element work in favor of US.. the pakistanis didn't think in their wildest dream that anything like that would happen.. people should also accept the technological superiority of US.. but no excuse can save them now.. some one can think that if they have tried to attack pakistanis forces what could have happened... they are so fragile infront of US..

kiyani and pasha should leave .....

along with qamar he is more responsible then these two

Civilian government should at least ONCE publicly demand Kayani and Shuja Pasha to resign and then see if the population doesn't back them up. They haven't even begun to take corrective steps. They are all glove in hands and the few times we see them tussling, thats simply just noora kushti.

The problem is even if government should even ask them to resign then on what basis because they know they are equally corrupt (if not more) than these people and have committed blunders on their part too so before asking them to resign public will ask this civilian government to resign

The problem is not only this incident has jolted the whole nation and put question marks on the credibility of these people but also have motivated our other enemies to plan such operations .

Anyways its useless now to cry over split milk but really this incident has rolled the remaining hopes of this poor nation, who instead of all the blunders committed by generals in the past respected the army and always believed that army will always stand b/w them and enemies but now they would have known that everything sells for $$ and they themselves have to fight a war of survival because there is no-one standing b/w them and enemy

DAWN news has something else to say

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Saturday, denied reports that its surveillance system was switched off or jammed on the night of May 2, when US forces carried out an operation to hunt and kill Osama bin Laden.

After the raid, it was widely reported that PAF’s radar system was jammed or rendered ineffective by US forces as they crossed into Pakistan. However, PAF spokesman Air Commodore Tariq Yazdani informed DawnNews on Saturday, that the surveillance system was not switched off as US Navy SEALs entered Pakistan’s airspace between the nights of May 2nd and 3rd.

The PAF official, however, was unable to confirm whether the country’s air force was aware of the presence of US forces’ helicopters in Pakistan.

Earlier, on May 3, a media briefing held by senior security officials revealed that the radar systems of PAF had been jammed by US forces on the night of the operation.

Radars being jammed by the Americans seems the most logical explanation given the sophistication with which the US specials forces operate.

very sad very very sad

PAF chief says that he doubt no threat from Afghanistan so the Radars in that area were at rest :hitwall:
had he forgotten frequient Drone Attacks from that side

lets assume that that paf air chief is right. radars were inactive. but can not be a excuse. obl operation and paf's failure to detect incoming helis has been proved worst set back to morale of Pakistani armed forces. it has also shown weaknesses of paf. what if tomorrow indo pak war starts and iaf sends 2-4 squadrons of SU 30 MKI / rafale / euro fighters in pak airspace to escort f 35 / SU 34s? what will be pafs response. fierce retaliation or excuses like these?

Bollywood daydreamers attack-a new version of Mars Attack. All the aircraft of the world would be deployed in the Pakistani airspace-Rafale, Eurofighter, F35, SU35, Mirage 2000 etc except the LCA. LOL. Pakistan would surrender and offer to build toilet and latrine in India for free as a result of this surrender.
