In the presence of a delegation from the Saudi Navy, a ceremony was held to start building the ship of His Majesty King Saud at the American Marinette Marine Manufacturing Company, which is the first of the four ships of the MMSC class that was contracted in 2017 as part of the second Saudi Naval Expansion Program (SNEP II) to modernize the eastern fleet.
