The Scooter Looked Like a Warrior's Horse : Nostalgia

.
Not many here own bikes either. Probably because one cannot really ride it for half the year in the biting cold. And yeah, they're pretty expensive here as well. But those who do own bikes enjoy like no one else during summers and spring.

Are you planning to come back to India? Or has Deutschland won your heart?

Yezdi models had starting problem, and they had an unique loud sound.

Wasn't technically mine. Rode one back in my PU days. I liked the power it generated in it's first & second gear(two stroke engines have more power-weight ratio than four stroke ones). Was of immense help in negotiating traffic. But I'd rather take my chances on a bike now. Glad that I survived those reckless days relatively intact.:)

Maybe we people are a bit different but no ones buys a scooter here....I dunno maybe men think of it as emasculating !

Of course I'll come back bro. Germany has won my admiration but not my heart.

You should go to Trivandrum or Kochi instead of Bangalore. Because the former two are much crappier and will prove more of a challenge!

Rajdoot was a more humble player among the monsters Royal Enfield, Yezdi and Yamaha RD-350.

Beech me ek Jawa ka potu aa gaya hai.

Never got to ride one so far. But I might ride one soon enough. A good friend of mine has recently bought a well-maintained beauty.

If you think a harley is emasculating, or a Yezda. I demand you chemically castrate yourself. Then you will physically become your internet persona. Of that of a Dehaati Aurat. :D

of course martial race wont do such a thing..
scooters were popular during licence permit raj ( before 90s), then after liberalization, it nearly died... because of hero-honda bikes.
but then in a brave move, honda brought a gearless scooter to India few years ago(going against market).. and it sells like hot cakes now (because easy to ride in city traffic)

Those mini-Rajdoots were a hit with stunt-riders. I remember seeing them with people who used to ride inside wells at village fairs. :D
