What's new

The real Seoul story: At the NSG plenary, China behaved not as an enlightened power

Did they signed it or not ?
To be signed in a month ??:sarcastic:
Do you have any comprehension problem TTA ?

The Hindu is the not an authority of MEA press release .
Where is the MEA press release where we signed this document ?

You know a lots more than Indians about India,so where is the link .

So you promised to sign away your sovereignty in one month, but you have not signed it away YET. So China doesn't have a right to ask for payment as well? :azn:

If you can sell your sovereignty for an NSG seat you can definitely offer more than the few reactor/industrial park deals that Modi offered. Stop being so stingy, unless you think your sovereignty is only worth a few reactor/industrial park deals.

.
Uh, why should we care if India sells their sovereignty to a foreign country. It's their sovereignty, they can choose what they want to do with it.

But India already said they will sign it in one month, the argument that you have not signed it YET doesn't matter when you have already promised to do so.

You paid America the biggest possible price for NSG support. Now pay us, it's that simple. Don't worry, we won't ask for military bases, only economic deals though. :azn:

Rhetoric answer, if you dint care why would you keep crying on multiple threads about CISMOA/LSA. :P

Another claim of promise, your desperation to sell this argument as India made a move first is showing

That's what a Chinese citizen thinks, India is not Pakistan. :D

LOL don't blame me, India ALREADY AGREED to sign the LSA (or LEMOA now). :P

The fact that you haven't signed it "yet" doesn't mean anything, you already promised to do so.

The problem is, America cannot deliver on the NSG and UNSC seat, so you gave it away for nothing. You forgot to pay China as well, the reactor/industrial park deals that Modi offered were just pittance, that's why we still vetoed you.

Again parroting same thing wont help you to hide your govt diplomatic failure .
US is just dealing with another major nation having money and military .
And donot mistake us with some small nation in SCS .

Modi will offered and will make you offer if he want ..He can do that ,we believes after his spectacular diplomatic game in recentt weeks .

By the way where is link TTA ?
Why are you soo mum about that ?:sarcastic:

Still confusing with comprehension issue ?

Already agreed .
Where is the link of signed LSA article?

I am still waiting TTA

.

My original claim in my first post is that India "agreed to sign" it, and I provided a link from the Hindu showing that India did INDEED "agree to sign" it.

Basically, India sold their sovereignty to America by agreeing to sign the CISMOA/LSA which would allow American troops to operate out of Indian soil, in exchange for the NSG seat.

India, US agree on logistics agreement, to be signed in a month - The Hindu

I never said India had "already" signed it. Which doesn't even matter because you already promised to do so, which means it's basically the same thing.

The fact that you are resorting to arguing over semantics is quite revealing. Do you deny the news report from the Hindu saying that India already agreed to sign it? :P

.
Repeating same lie again and again wont make one truth .

Did I already asked you ?
Where is the press release of the MEA where India signed CISMOA/LSA.

Any link ???

US came here for our support and we are just exploiting it

Your post is reported for making same arguement again and again without any link or proof .

Stop responding to the rants..logically, his agenda is limited just like the myopic Chinese delegates who turned upside down to try and discontinue the discussion.

.
There were reports to this effects, if you have followed the news Chinese delegate had to save face, when he said Indian membership will not be taken up in seoul and then the same guy giving NPT as the only reason for opposition :D

Well i think it's time for Indian posters, Their media and certainly self appointed "experts" to stop whinging.. The GOI gave a concerted effort and failed, Let it go.. They knew the Chinese stand from the start, They knew there was no way around that veto and still tried their luck through the US and still failed

The US had the last laugh not only did they know India will never get through from the beginning because of China's stand but trolled the whole situation so that now any future attempt to get in any country has to be a signatory to the NPT.. And by playing the good cop made sure a significant proportion of nationalist Indians to go ape shyt over China, Those people will be vital for thier regional interests.. Three objectives achieved.. Thats why they remain the sole super power in the world atm

It's always good to be optimistic though, Better luck next time.. But for sanity it's time to cut the rhetoric, Going by the Chinese or their media or their government, they dont give a hoot.. Oh btw India just joined the SCO along with Pakistan just a day after what happened in Seoul.. Atleast those at the helm of the Indian establishment are more realistic and more importantly pragmatic

Since when did the 'agreeing' becomes selling one's nation sovereignity ?
Nice one though TTA .You just add another golden feather in to your TTA cap .

this is the only interesting piece of news from the whole incident. I wonder what the stance expected was?
n response to questions, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said that regarding India’s accession to the NSG-the 48-member club that controls the global flows of nuclear technology and material “members have different opinions regarding whether or not non-NPT countries could join the group”.

Refusing to make an exception for India, she said: “Therefore, we are now talking about non-NPT members joining as a whole rather than any other specific non-NPT country’s accession.” She added: “China’s position in this regard is not directed against any specific country. It applies to all non-NPT countries.”

Speaking separately to resident Indian journalists, Ms. Hua said that “the door is open for discussion for the admission of all non-NPT countries” into the NSG. She stressed that the existing policy could change through a “a change in criteria” for admission, but NSG members have to consider the fallout of their decision on countries such as Iran, which has recently signed a nuclear deal with the global powers, and the North Korean issue.

In response to a query regarding remarks by U.S. State Department spokesman, backing India’s admission to the NSG, Ms. Hua said that U.S. was backtracking from the espousal of its own rules, which demand that only signatories of the NPT are eligible for admission to the NSG.

See don't sound so desperate to shift reason for Chinese opposition to frivolous things, China had to throw Pakistan a bone so that it would remain where it is :)

I understood as soon as the FSA to PM Sharif claimed that Pakistan has successfully blocked India's membership to NSG. The irony is that Pakistan already is a signatory to these agreements plus many other which China has no problem with :D

What America can do or not is a different topic, thanks to China - India is is being pushed towards US.

Nations promise several things. All those are just a line drawn in water until it materialise and in ours case it will still may remain as line drawn in water even after singed document deal.

Stop responding to the rants..logically, his agenda is limited just like the myopic Chinese delegates who turned upside down to try and discontinue the discussion.

Why do we need to "try" when we have veto power?

Whatever reason we give is nothing more than political fluff. The bottom line is that you paid your sovereignty to America but you did not pay us a similar amount, so you didn't get anything.

Modi did offer some reactor/industrial park deals but that's so stingy in comparison.

So pointing out the actual events is now whining?

Your post is nothing more than what people already know, we are just exposing a Chinese TTA's fiction and desperation.

The Hindu is not authority that can make press release on the behalf of MEA.
This is not China and so we dont have official mouth piece tabloid .

.
Basically, India sold their sovereignty to America by agreeing to sign the CISMOA/LSA which would allow American troops to operate out of Indian soil, in exchange for the NSG seat.

India, US agree on logistics agreement, to be signed in a month - The Hindu

But they seriously overestimated America's ability to deliver the NSG seat. As they found out recently.

It seems India has no idea of what "veto power" means. It means we can shut it down anytime, for any reason. In fact we don't even need to give a reason.

India paid out of their nose for US support, but they did not give a similar payment to us, so they didn't get anything in return.

More lies by @Chinese-Dragon :disagree:
