What's new

The real Seoul story: At the NSG plenary, China behaved not as an enlightened power

Why do we need to "try" when we have veto power?

Whatever reason we give is nothing more than political fluff. The bottom line is that you paid your sovereignty to America but you did not pay us a similar amount, so you didn't get anything.

Modi did offer some reactor/industrial park deals but that's so stingy in comparison.

Again .Did you sold your sovreignity when you made dealings with USSR?

.
Repeating same lie again and again wont make one truth .

Did I already asked you ?
Where is the press release of the MEA where India signed CISMOA/LSA.

Any link ???

US came here for our support and we are just exploiting it

Your post is reported for making same arguement again and again without any link or proof .

Goebbels law

Again .Did you sold your sovreignity when you made dealings with USSR?

Ignore the Hypocrite Chinese, @Chinese-Dragon is lying again & again so much for the Think tank tag

Well i think it's time for Indian posters, Their media and certainly self appointed "experts" to stop whinging.. The GOI gave a concerted effort and failed, Let it go.. They knew the Chinese stand from the start, They knew there was no way around that veto and still tried their luck through the US and still failed

The US had the last laugh not only did they know India will never get through from the beginning because of China's stand but trolled the whole situation so that now any future attempt to get in any country has to be a signatory to the NPT.. And by playing the good cop made sure a significant proportion of nationalist Indians to go ape shyt over China, Those people will be vital for thier regional interests.. Three objectives achieved.. Thats why they remain the sole super power in the world atm

It's always good to be optimistic though, Better luck next time.. But for sanity it's time to cut the rhetoric, Going by the Chinese or their media or their government, they dont give a hoot.. Oh btw India just joined the SCO along with Pakistan just a day after what happened in Seoul.. Atleast those at the helm of the Indian establishment are more realistic and more importantly pragmatic

And we have joined in MTCR .And for the first time a second NSG plenary will call this year .
Work is already begin .

.
But they seriously overestimated America's ability to deliver the NSG seat. As they found out recently.
We want to be a member of NSG because we know how it functions. For obvious reasons, we would also know how the members are inducted into NSG.:P
Come on!
We had done our home work.
I'm glad your country has changed its stance.
oops i meant softened. lol

The funniest aspect of the whole incident was the poor Pakistanis..The chinese pleaded their case a week before the plenary which got Pakistani hopes alive and they went and applied for it. Funnily, even the chinese did not raise their application, wasn't even considered and the chinese had to pull every trick available to stop discussing India's nomination. What happened to the Pakistani application. .The poor souls are reduced to celebrating that India didn't get through.

.
I gave a link from the Hindu showing the Indian government agreed to sign the LEMOA already.

You don't like it, so you accuse me of lying. How typical.

LOL, "agreed to sign" does not mean we have signed it :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Also, LEMOA is a lot different than CISMOA/LSA. You are repeatedly lying in every thread about this topic in every single thread

I hope the Pakistanis keep up this attitude

Yeah that's why I said "agreed to sign" in my first post. Are you unable to read?

You already promised to sign away your sovereignty, your argument is that you have not signed it "YET", so China does not have a right to ask for similar payment for NSG/UNSC support. :partay:

That's fine.. Congrats.. As i said there is nothing wrong being optimistic but optimism has to be within realism

But rhetoric does'nt achieve goals, Being realistic makes it's easier

@Chinese-Dragon India doesn't and shouldn't "give" anything to China. That would simply be encouraging thus behavior in the future.

China is not "all powerful" and has few friends. India will now create leverAge fir herself by blocking things that China wants in other world fora. There are numerous fora that both China and India are in. So long as it is done with finesse ....it doesn't end till the fat lady sings..:-)

My original claim in my first post is that India "agreed to sign" it, and I provided a link from the Hindu showing that India did INDEED "agree to sign" it.

I never said India had "already" signed it. Which doesn't even matter because you already promised to do so, which means it's basically the same thing.

The fact that you are resorting to arguing over semantics is quite revealing. Do you deny the news report from the Hindu saying that India already agreed to sign it? :P

Best of all, the USA got India to sign the CISMOA/LSA, which would allow American troops to operate out of Indian soil.

In exchange for the NSG seat. Except... the USA can't deliver the NSG seat. Because we have veto.

Should have thought about that first. :P They already have what they wanted, they are definitely masters of playing the game.

The desperation is real.
