The one who doesn't know to take U-turn is a foolish leader says PM Imran Khan

I always thought everyone takes a Uturn except the Leader because he has to LEAD.

A Pakistani citing examples of Napolean and Hitler is not always satisfying given the amount of legends this region can bring to the table. Mr. Khan will always remain a Cricketer who won the world cup at the tender age of 39.

There is a fine line between being stubborn and being foolish.

The establishment (military and civilian) has been what exactly for imposing the looting murdering scums on the public for decades - stubborn or foolish or both?

oh wait, establishment was part of looting and murdering too!

I'm just holding her responsible for all the nonsense Imran Khan is today.

Sorry we aint into burning witches anymore. You just have to deal with it. Its not 1851

It took you guys less than 90 days to blame the mythical establishment.

Thats progress.

Mythical establishment - yeah right, BS!

And you people are going insane over every little thing in the first 90 days. Cut the the holier than thou crap! Look at yourself and what have you done for the country!

When it comes to Nawaz, you claim a soft spot whereas 90 days of IK you have been spewing venom at every possible opportunity. Inferiority complex infected people!

Pak Media at it again !! ...

Jinnah said:

"... Eighty millions of Muslims in India have nothing to fear. They have their destiny in their hands, and as a well-knit, solid, organized, united force can face any danger, and withstand any opposition to its united front and wishes. There is a magic power in your hands. Take your vital decisions - they may be grave and momentous and far-reaching in their consequences. Think a hundred times before you take any decision, but once a decision is taken, stand by it as one man ... "

Jinnah was addressing 5000 Muslims who had come from all provinces of India to attend the All India Muslim League Session in 1937.

Now, as per Mansoor's logic:

Jinnah took a U-Turn in 1940 by demanding separate homeland for Muslims, an idea he had previously ridiculed

Jinnah took another U-Turn in 1946 when he accepted Cabinet Mission plan of 1946, as he had agreed to give up his demand of a separate Muslim homeland

A few months later, Jinnah took yet another U-Turn and demanded a separate Muslim homeland once again

Once Pakistan was created, Jinnah took another U-Turn when he, while addressing the Constituent Assembly, declared that Hindus and Muslims would have the same rights in the newly created state of Pakistan, a clear deviation from his earlier stance of Two Nation Theory (as was understood by majority)

So on and so forth ...

The Pakistani academic and intellectual prostitutes would go to any lengths to provide scientific mantle to the criminal activities (and corruption) of the previous governments ...

Who's paying for it?

LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement on U-turns has generated a debate in political circles, with the opposition coming down heavily on what it called ‘a symbol of weak character’ and members of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) robustly defending their leader’s remarks.

On Friday, in an interaction with the media at the PM House, Prime Minister Khan said that the real leader of a nation always made U-turns and changed his strategy depending on the situation and the need of the hour.

“The leader who does not do timely U-turns is not a real leader,” Mr Khan said, giving the example of the ‘failure of German leader Adolf Hitler and French military leader Napoleon Bonaparte in wars in Russia’.

“Both Hitler and Napoleon faced defeat as they did not change their strategies according to the situation and as a result, their armies were marooned in Russia,” PM Khan said, defending decisions that the opposition called U-turns.

Reactions range from outrage to jocularity

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif hit out at the premier, saying it was only a matter of time before he would backtrack on his ‘U-turn’ statement as well.

PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb tweeted: “(Imran Khan) Pakistan’s first official prime minister.” She also posted a screenshot of the statement by PML-N president Shahbaz Sharif suggesting that instead of a road sign, a picture of Imran Khan should be displayed at every U-turn.

Pak Sarzameen Party secretary general Raza Haroon tweeted that taking a U-turn was not a good characteristic for any leader. “Whatever one says or believes, ‘U-turn’ is definitely not a good characteristic for any leader, let alone be proud of. Serious misconception of leadership skills. One may need to adopt an alternate plan or path or strategy etc. ... but never #UTurn,” he wrote.

Speaking to reporters in Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah joked: “We have moved from U to W which comes after U. It’s now double U-turns.”

The PTI leadership, including President Dr Arif Alvi, has come forward to defend the party chairman.

“Decisions should be taken in accordance with the situation. I have taken U-turns on every step of the way in my life,” Dr Alvi told reporters in an informal talk.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said “one cannot become a leader without taking U-turns”, whereas Senator Faisal Javed tweeted that a U-turn was a form of “assessment, rating, estimation, ranking, weighing up, consideration, analysis”.

He added that it was crucial to have a proper evaluation of results and whether a U-turn was required. He said that there was a huge difference between a U-turn and a blatant lie.

Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid, however, expressed ignorance about Mr Khan’s statement. At a press conference in Lahore, the minister said that he did not know the context in which Prime Minister Khan made the U-turn statement.

Siyaset is the Sanat* of getting the things done....
*Art

IK is doing his part of the Sanat!!! And, what a Sanat!!!! Arranging finances to keep the Ship of the State floating while all the repairs are done, engine is retrofitted, officers are trained, change of the crew is finished etc.....

IK need to read written speeches or keep his mouth shut. He is a PM of the Pakistan, not a Chaprasi.
So far i am not impress by any of his speeches since he became PM. He needs a good speech writer. If he can't read URDU, they can write URDU in roman script. Also, he needs to practice his URDU, he makes many muzakar monas mistakes. It's common for non-urdu speaking to make those mistakes.
Shaikh Rashee Urdu is pretty bad, it's also very funny.

The way IK ministers are defending his speech about Uturn, remind me of MQM leaders defending Altaf Hussian.
