This is not an appropriate thread but for indians a good news is Jane.s Defense is reporting india will have GE F414 engine with 90/100kN thrust in LCA MK II, now i am wondering where is kavri engine going to end up.

Btw, Kaveri will not be scrapped. It will be developed as a potential powerplant for the AMCA program. GTRE also wants Kaveri to be the engines to replace GE404 presently powering LCA-MkI during future upgrades. A derivative of this Kaveri engine is used as a powerplant in ships. There are plans to develop variants to be used in Arjun MBT or other suitable combat vehicles.

Bad luck for Kavri again, honestly instead of american engine if kavrri project was dealt with properly it would have been ended up in mk-I/mk-II, after billions wasted you statement is not satisfying it well be used in tom, dick and harry stuff.
