The National Ski Jumping Center in in Chongli for 2022 Beijing winter Olympics tests its illuminating equipment

The National Ski Jumping Center in in Chongli of Zhangjiakou City, north China’s Hebei, tested its illuminating equipment on Sunday. Nicknamed “Snow Ruyi," indicating good luck, it will host ski jumping events during the #Beijing2022 Winter Olympics.

Don't know why we're still wasting money on this Olympic nonsense. I bet local officials are lining their own pockets while the rest of the citizens get stuck with the bill. It's a pure vanity project, nothing more. Beijing already has high enough profile as the political center of China and did not need extra exposure.

Most of these facilties will be vacant within months after the Olympics.

Many of my friends go to Chongli to ski every single weekend, winter sports are getting very popular now , at least in Beijing.
