The lasting lesson of 1962

Your Market is may be great and costly but the Taste of Indian Bollywood is famous around the world. Guys don't come up with crap like that. Bollywood is far far more accepted and loved, don't challenge us in that.

really,I travelled a bit around the world, never been to Africa though.how come i never found Indian movies popular anywhere i'd been to,always all people around the world know Bruce li.can you provide any solid proof to back up your claim that Bollywood movies are popular around the world?

you are talking your dreams ,man, had you ever been in China before??what makes you feel that you know and can comment things about China?

i haven'T said anything wrong indeed. A buffalo is easier to govern with a stick in hand.

In china many things are compulsory and in India it is free will. That is the difference.

Does it occur to you that the number of films don't matter? Market is measured by revenue. One avatar movie is bigger than the entire Bollywood. Chinese movie Flowers of War is bigger than any Bollywood production. This requires no argument. You are being a joke saying things like this. Stupid.

India is the largest producer of films in the world.[1][2] In 2009, India produced a total of 2961 films on celluloid, that include a staggering figure of 1288 feature films.[3] Indian film industry is multi-lingual and the largest in the world in terms of ticket sales and number of films produced. The industry is supported mainly by a vast film-going Indian public, and Indian films have been gaining increasing popularity in the rest of the world—notably in countries with large numbers of expatriate Indians. Largest film industry in India is the Hindi film industry mostly concentrated in Mumbai (Bombay), and is commonly referred to as "Bollywood", an amalgamation of Bombay and Hollywood. The other largest film industries are the Telugu Film Industry and Tamil Film Industry which are located in Hyderabad, India and Chennai, India and are commonly referred to as "Tollywood" and "Kollywood". The remaining majority portion is spread across northern, western, and southern India (with Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Oriya, Malayalam, Kannada). However, there are several smaller centers of Indian film industries in regional languages centered in the states those languages are spoken. Indian films are made filled with musicals, action, romance, comedy, and an increasing number of special effects.

How Foreign Film Markets Will Refresh American Movies

By Alyssa Rosenberg on Jan 20, 2012 at 4:07 pm

My friend Neda Ulaby has a cool piece about how Fox has beefed up its investment in making movies overseas for the markets where they’re produced — and how that’s going to affect what we see on U.S. screens:

“China is the second or third biggest market in the world at 50 percent local,” [Sanford Panitch] says. “India the fourth biggest at 90 percent local, France at 40 percent local, Germany at 30 percent local, Korea a billion dollar market 50 percent, Japan — actually, Japan [is] the biggest international market in the world, 60 percent local.”

Fox International Productions actually started off three years ago with a Japanese version of the movie Sideways — that’s the one about two guys touring wine country. “When we originally got into the business,” Panitch says, we thought, ‘We’ve got this great library, let’s take advantage of it.’ And ironically, local markets don’t want recycled Hollywood content.”

Chinese Film Industry is only seen on documents and articles like these, but Indian films and songs are in heart of people.

in your people not my people,ha,we also remeber all those great Chinese moives and one thing you are right about is that we dont have a lot of dancing and singing in our movies, our movies are just like US moives, focus on stories and plots.

and figure above also shows Indian movies are mostly only for Indians, and Chinese movies are half and half.
