Please don't twist my post. My post clearly says 4 x 054 Frigates. And then you decided to bring in 055 Destroyers.

I don't think more Type 54's will be added as PN has 2 more types of Ships coming up, Milgem from Turkey and Jinnah Class... once all of them are done and inducted I am sure PN will go for heavy destroyers such as Type 55's.

I personally believe, after absorbing these 4 ships Type 54, PN will move towards Type 55.

055 is a billion usd a piece... internal PLA prices. then there is operation and maintenance costs...

there is no way pakistan is gonna be able to afford that anytime soon, unless you wanted literally nothing but 3, 055 in the navy(therefore making them too scarce to be used resulting in harbor queens like german ww1 navy).

Why do people want to stick to type 055 it's a heavy guided missile cruiser and it costs around $800 million... we don't have that kind of money lying around also if we look at it's role it is supposed to escort CBGs which we don't have yet... instead of opting for type 055 why not build on Jinnah/Ada class design and expand it to a 6000 ton heavy frigate/ light destroyer it could potentially have quad packed 64 cell VLS with universal launchers and 16× anti ship missiles even this would be an overkill for us we can also couple it with UAVs/UUVs for sub hunting.... such a program may be time consuming but if we purchase more ships of such type let's say 6 to 8 it will bring the price down and reduce our reliance on Chinese in the long run.... even if such ships cost $450 million per ship it wouldn't be a bad deal.....

I said After full induction of Milgem and Jinnah, see the timeline when all will be delivered, we are talking about 2030ish, I am sure PN can afford a Ship or two by then.

I don't doubt the payment ability of PN, but why not consider 052DL first? Directly from 4500 tons to 13000 tons?

I mean if there is a Destroyer under 10k ton, then PN would go for it I don't know the line up of PLAAN Destroyers... I think Type 52's will do the job

6 Jinnah class ships

4 Babur class

21 Ships are enough, we dont need anymore unless new threats emerge.

4 TF2000-class destroyers which are 8500 tons would be perfect upgrade, this is what Pakistan will most likely go for. Type 55 are amazing but really expensive at the moment.

Aircraft carrier is the core of the fleet, and it is the main force of carrier aircraft platform attack.
075 is the amphibious attack ship, which carries 20 WZ-10ME.
076 is also the amphibious attack ship, it has electromagnetic catapults and is responsible for taking off and landing UAVs.
055 is the heavy destroyer, it is the only warship in the world that uses digital array radar. Its radar has four bands, and Burke 3 can't even accommodate two bands of radar. So 055 is not only the core of fleet air defense, but also the core of CEC and other systems.
052D is a general-purpose destroyer, which is responsible for long-range air defense support and anti submarine operations.
054A is a kind general-purpose frigate, which is responsible for medium-range air defense and anti submarine assistance. And there are Fifty-two 054A, so it also needs to undertake the tasks of ocean escort and evacuation of overseas Chinese.
056 is the light frigate, which is mainly responsible for carrying out tasks in China's coastal waters.
